If I want to make something ground storable, you will most likely find it in More Piles

Still having the issue when I use this mod that I cant place any food from pots into crocks. I dont have any other pile mods installed, and no mods that affect pots or crocks other than Brick Layers. The tool tip to put food in the crock when hovering over it isnt even popping up anymore. Is there an alternate way of putting food in crocks with this mod that I missed, or is there just an unknown mod conflict I must have?

Mod seems to break knapping. You end up placing stones/flint but not being able to do anything with it other than picking it back up.

So you're aware, this mod made my memory usage go from 3 gigs of RAM to the full 32 gigs available to my system. Tested with and without other mods. From having read around, it seems to be a limitation of how the game caches mod data, but I figure I'd let you know just in case I've got the wrong idea.
Hypoflexare you sure it's this mod causing the issue? I can create pit kilns and add grass just fine. It might be a mod conflict with something else you are using, maybe?

This mod breaks progression in the Resonance Archives. Fix it and make coal not placeable by default. Why would I want to place a single chunk of coal instead of making a pile like normal??? Seriously? "Game becomes literally unplayable" except you make MY game unplayable?!

I'm having difficulty disabling coal from using this mod to place itself. I'm on 1.19.7, version 1.5.0 and no matter what I do no config option seems to work at all for disabling coal. I've reset the config twice, put in my own config options, and even disabled everything in the config and, while most items do follow the config, coal does not. I'm not using any other mods to test this. I'm not sure if I'm missing something extremely obvious, or if this is an actual issue.

Changing drygrasses to false in the mod config file fixed the problem for me. Also, waterdrinker I can put food in crocks with no problem. (just tested it a minute ago to make sure :) )
Bug report - as PonyVStudios said, the pit kiln does not work for items that you put 4 off in the pit (bottles, croks etc.) I had this since V 19.0 onwards just noticed it's this mod that clashes.
DanaCraluminum It seems like I cant put food in crocks when using your mod (not using my Larger Crock mod anymore). I am using the newest version of VS. When I try to put food in the crock, it just picks up the crock. I have to disable your mod to put food in crocks.

TheEngineerGuy It is because vanilla in 1.19.0-rc.6 finally made all of these items ground storable, I won't fix it because it is vanilla issue now and no longer a mod issue.
This is not my problem that devs are integrating my mod into vanilla in their own way
After i installed the Mod, my whole stack of sticks vanished and i wasnt able to place down sticks as in vanilla. Not sure if i make a mistake, but it wont work. However, Firewood works.

I installed this and more piles, but since the keybinds are the same, i can only place one item but not the piles, say for exmple coal, i cant do the normal stack anymore, but rather just place 4 bits of coal/sticks or whatever
Ah got it. I updated to the latest unstable version and its working like a charm. New version is better anyways even if its "Unstable" thanks!

DanaCraluminumrunning PEI v1.4.5 here on VS v1.18.15. Confirming that pit kilns are still broken if you interact with an item on the ground from this mod before you interact with the pit kiln to add dry grass, and thereafter broken until you restart the server, exactly the way D43VA mentioned below.

Any idea why I can't place many items that are shown in the screenshot like reeds, tool handles, and ore? It almost feels like the mod isn't working as well, though more piles works fine.
My modlist: This Mod, Tried with and without more piles, medieval map, human-like skins for seraphs, and textured seraph faces, also the 3 vanilla "coremods" obviously as well.
Also I had this issue before the net7 update too I think when I was playing with my friend a week or two ago.

Running into a similar pit kiln issue as Soumagnei's: when placing multiple small clay items in a pit together (e.g., 4 x Raw Bowl), it becomes impossible to place a dry grass layer. When pressing Shift+RMB while dry grass is selected, the clay item nearest to the mouse pointer is picked up and dry grass is placed down as an object in its location. When a single clay item is placed in the center of the pit, the grass layer can be placed as normal (although when placing the first layer the clay object shifts from the center of the pit into the upper left corner). Disabling dry grass in the config fixes this behaviour. Did not run into any issues with disapppearing pit kilns / items though.
DanaCraluminum I actually tried to replicate it extensively and honestly haven't been able to. I'm not sure what changed (if anything), but it doesn't seem to be occuring for other players on my server or on my creative testing world currently. My sincere apologies for the false alarm! Thank you again for making this mod. It's one of my favorites. 😋

I'm also unfortunately running into the pit kiln issue.
This has occurred for me and other players on my server. Items are placed in the kiln in a standard fashion (crouch + right click) and the pit kiln is ignited. When the pit kiln is finished the product is either present or gone entirely, seemingly at random.
I noticed that when you place (for example) two ingot molds in a pit kiln they fill the space as expected, but when the firing is finished their model is shrinked and fills 2 spaces in a 2x2 grid rather than filling up the entire space as expected in vanilla. This is applied to all molds. Not sure if this is expected behavior or a symptom of the issue.

Pit Kilns are not working with this mod and would dissapear
We have the same problem as DeathFox. The pit kiln contents disappear. I'm reverting our server back to 1.4.0 - I know we did not have pit kiln issues with that version.

had pit kiln disapper when they were firing got any ideas why? do have a lot of mods so it may be cross mod but it got fixed removing this and place pile mod

Having that same problem still, but only with small pottery items able to fit four into a kiln. Trying to place the grass will just pick up an item and place the grass instead. Looks like it's prioritising the placing of the grass on the tile over filling the kiln, but only for mutli-fit items.
Running 1.4.3, didn't have any previous versions installed, so no holdovers from before. Disabling grass placeability does fix the issue.
Also on the newest version 1.18.6.

Disabling only this mod fix the probleme.

I happen to find out that with this mod you can't place flint on the ground and knapp it. When I disabled it, knapping works fine.

The latest update seems to break a lot of placeables, like planting saplings, placing down watering cans for example. Not sure why. Previous update worked perfectly fine with the rest of my modlist

Craluminum This mod seems to have some issues on 1.18.1, although it may be due to a mod incompatibility - I haven't had enough time to diagnose that far yet. When installed, it causes very long (>60sec) server and client launch times. More importantly, it causes a hard crash on the client when trying to conenct to a server (or singleplayer server) with this mod installed - but only when the client is launched the second time after installing the mod. It will launch just fine the first time then crash on all subsequent launches. The error it throws is:
[Error] Could not find shape game:item/tool/wand for item game:magicwand

I made both mods almost immediately after base game made it available for modding.
It was an amazing feeling that I was the first with such mods.
I never really bothered trying out this mod idk why, but then I was watching someone play in an Icy world with storage problems and saw just how little can actually be placed on the ground which shocks me. So from no on I am playing with this and the piles mod cause it just makes sense! :)
