i love this! acorns are such an important food wherever they are found world wide. what do you think about making them seasonal? i have no clue how that would be implemented, but fruit trees are already like that? it would be fun if the acorns dropped to the ground in fall and had to be collected that way. great job on this as is, like i said ive no clue howmodding works and if seasonal harvest (a la fruit trees) is even doable. cheers

hope we see a 1.19 update. i only just found this mod but if it dont work for animal troughts then it's gonna be a problem.

Acorns seems to run in 1.19 so far, but I haven't tried anything with it yet. There are some updates with how animals eat from troughs, so that probably doesn't work anymore.

I just looked at yours to see what I was doing wrong.
If you look at the json code you'll see that the files are different.

New Acorns Version 0.5.2

I think I've implemented the drop rate fix that gndrneutralnoun did.
I've tested this new version in 1.18.7 and it seems to be working fine.
Please let me know if there are any issues.

Expanded Foods was updated today and it claims it is compatible with this mod, i think they fixed so this mod works as intended. Will download it and test it

Update: I fixed it! At least when no other mods are running, acorns now drop at the proper rate! Credit to SpearAndFang for help with this; I couldn't have done it without them! They're the real MVP. Link. You don't need the original Acorns mod for this to work, BTW.

Can confirm it technically works in 1.18; however, the increased drop rate of acorns is not applied, rendering this mod rather difficult to use. I had been working on an unofficial update for this some time ago, but due to frustration with some glitches that corrupted my world, I had quit VS for a while. I'll try to remember to upload the unofficial patch here if I get around to making it.

Seems to work in 1.18.3. At least, the game loads and all the recipes are there.

I got four acorn powder, and it says to boil it with water to make a drink. Like, how much is needed? I couldn't find any instructions on that.

I just tried the new upload from you, unfortunately still the same. The server starts and shuts down immediately with a crash message as soon as I use this mod, which is strange that the mod works well in single player mode, just not in MP :D

I've uploaded the version I've been using in 1.16.5 without any problems.

It only has a small texture change from the previous version which really shouldn't make any difference stability-wise.

I'm not using Expanded Food at the moment so I can't comment on compatibility.

The version doesn't seem to work anymore with 16.5, my MP server doesn't start when I have this mod active. An update would be great! Because I would like to continue using it with Expandet Food

Currently, Acorn Dough doesn't bake into bread in the Clay Oven :( ... not sure why, yet.

You can, however, still cook it in a Firepit. It will be a bit charred, but edible. A bit crunchy, yet still with a hint of that Acorn nuttiness.
