I'll no longer be maintaining this mod and instead patching my mods for the Biomes mod, which includes all the functionality of this mod and more https://mods.vintagestory.at/show/mod/8785 For servers and existing users I'll leave this mod up as is.
Bioregions: Pacific Nearctic Realm
This mod prevents animals and plants from spawning, leaving only those native to the Pacific Nearctic. This mod does not add new plants or animals by itself.
You’ll see plants and animals from the Arctic circle, Canadian shield, Western North America, South West North America, and Central America. Plants are based on those present or introduced to the area between 11700 and 700 years ago while animals are those native to those areas during the same span. Mods that add both natural and supernatural creatures will have their non-native and supernatural entities disabled, though server hosts can go into the patches and remove the patch blocking a given animal in order to re-enable it.
As this mod removes content from the base game, certain technologies and resources may be harder to acquire than normal and some animal or plant based resources may be impossible to acquire without mods adding a native equivalent to the base game animals or plants that were removed.
Mods with content in this Bioregion:
Animals:
Banded Geckos
Cats
Fauna of the Stone Age: Caninae
Fauna of the Stone Age: Capreolinae
Fauna of the Stone Age: Pantherinae
Feverstone Wilds
Lichen
New World Pond Frogs
North American Salamanders
Ornamental Fish
Pacific Newts
Primitive Survival
Plants:
Floral Zones: Caribbean Region
Farm to Table (Manually replace files)
Hide and Fabric (Manually replace files)
Wildcraft (Manually replace files)
Wildcraft Trees (Manually replace files)
Known Issues
In order for modded plants to work, you need to manually replace their patch files from the “manually replace files” folder in this mod. I’m looking into a way of patching their patches, but for now this will get the same results as the intended final version.
Mods that use the “game” directory for their animals can’t be patched

No, but Wildcraft compatibility has been added to the Biomes mod, so you can use that and set the entire world to be Pacific Nearctic in the bioregion config file if you want that mod that mod to function like this one
Ducky_
Was the Wildcraft compatability ever updated? If so, do I still need to manually replace the files?
Other than plant spawns it does not change world gen. Pretty much all climates are represented in the Pacific Nearctic so I would tweak any of those or you'd be missing out on some, but I'd recommend a landform mod, which one depending on where in North America you'd prefer the landscape to look like.
Does this mod change world gen at all? If it doesn't what mod should I use for the most North American type of landscapes? Or even, what settings could I use to change the worldgen to fit North American better?
Thanks for mod regardless!
I'm not seeing that in the compatibility patches on my end, Wildcraft Trees might have changed how they formatted things so these two might not be 100% compatible.
That said, I'm working with that team to make the wildcraft mods and bioregion mods compatible without players needing to do any manual file replacement. Not sure on a timeline though, they are pretty busy with reformatting all their plant mods.
I manually replaced the files, but for some reason I'm still getting saxual trees from Wildcraft Trees spawning despite only being native to Asia and the Middle East
assets/wildcrafttrees/patches/ and assets/wildcraft/patches/worldgen.
Have fun with your new world!
Where are the files we need to replace located in the wildcraft and wildcraft trees mod?
