pacificnewts_131.zip 1-click install

Adds four species of Pacific newts that spawn in different environments to your world. They can be caught and transported alive using a bug net. This mod includes the rough-skinned newt (Taricha granulosa), the red-bellied newt (Taricha rivularis), the California newt (Taricha torosa), and the Sierra newt (Taricha sierrae).

If killed, all of the four species will drop their skin, which can be crafted into poison mash if Zarkonnen's Ranged Weapons mod is also installed. Eating the skin itself will directly deliver the effect of the poison to the nearest and most foolish entity in the area, making it useful in certain situations.

This mod requires version 1.0.1 or higher of Bug Net Compatibility in order to function properly.

I've thought about crabs and other crustaceans. My next release will be the third monitor lizard mod, but it is possible that I can add crabs of some sort after that.

💬 CrabCrab, Nov 17th 2023 at 2:58 PM

are there any plans on doing a crab mod?

I have decided against creating an all-in-one version of my mods as the space taken up by my mods on the texture atlas will only increase as more are added, meaning an all-in-one mod would be potentially quite resource-intensive, and players using it likely would not encounter content from all of the mods, especially if they are using a bioregion mod alongside it. For now, there will probably not be an all-in-one bundle available for my mods, but that may change later on.

Yeah, I'll start doing that.

💬 bringitonwimps, Jun 11th 2023 at 2:22 PM

also in your mods could you please start using a number identifier, its really hard to tell which version and if im updated.  would make it a little easier for everyone i think.

💬 HieronymusAuthor, Jun 8th 2023 at 5:04 PM

I'll work on that at some point, then. Having the mod manager automatically update would be nice, I agree.

💬 RachelTGG, Jun 8th 2023 at 2:25 PM

Hieronymus yeah, exactly what i meant. Would be very nice because i (and i bet other people) want to have all your mods so a single mod with all them in would be very helpful and easier for us to maintain (at least until the a modmanager can keep mods updated automatically)

If you are referring to a mod that includes every single one of my other mods combined, I might create that at some point when I have more content released. It is an idea that I have considered.

Any chance of we having a All in One version of your mods?
