LastingArmor-1-0-6.zip

Overview:
Simple patch which multiplies all existing armour durability values by 20 compared to vanilla values; for the particular way I play, armour never feels worthwhile to craft in vanilla and so I made this patch. If the game eventually supports an armour durability config value for a world, this patch would then become obsolete.
Compat:
So far as I can predict, by default this patch mod will not alter the durability of any armour added by other mods. If there is a particular mod adding new armour pieces for which you'd like this to be compatible with, please leave a comment with a link/title of the mod in question.
Please note, if a supported mod updates and changes armour durability values or changes item codes, this mod will not automatically compensate for any changes.
Currently, all values are added in by hand, so if any mod releases an update adding armour or changing IDs, I will need to be informed in order to support new pieces and update this patch mod.

Oh, i checked and it turns out im using one version OLDER than the one that added in compatibility with swordz. Sorry for the mistake!
There already is Swordz support.
If you have both Lasting Armour and Swordz enabled, could you specify which pieces of armour aren't getting the durability multiplier that you expect should be? Javes
Would you be willing to add compatibility with the mod Swordz, as it adds in new materials that can be turned into armor?
Once I finish the current work on my main mod, I'll have a look at updating this with the rest of the pending changes I had, and then I'll check what other compatibilities I can add. Ahmnypotent
could you add Better Scrap https://mods.vintagestory.at/show/mod/15024 and rust and rot https://mods.vintagestory.at/rustandrot
That's good, thanks for reporting it! I'll add the (probably limited) Spear Expansion compatibility in 1.0.7. Alass
Tailored Brigandine appears to be working now. Thank you very much!
Okay, thank you for taking a look and trying! I'll let you know soon if the Tailored Brigandine is fine now NerArth
Actually I'm not sure I can fix the issues for the Titanium Armor mod. I had a deeper look and the issue is that their mod patches an item that is technically vanilla VS. Originally my mod would be patching over their patch, but that doesn't work because of the order in which the mods load.
So I tried to... Patch their patch. But that also doesn't work for the same reason. 🤷♂️
It's actually the same in some of the Spear Expansion mod's armours from what I've checked.
Most are custom items and those can be made compatible, but a few are patched vanilla VS items and it's those patched vanilla items that I can't alter.
In essence, for any of those vanilla-patchy things to be compatible, the authors of those mods would likely need to include a conditional patch that would check if Lasting Armor was loaded.
Then, if it was, they could disable some of their own changes and allow LA's changes instead.
I've released 1.0.6 as a fix for the issues with Tailored Brigandine and Titanium Armor. Alass Could you please let me know if things appear correct now, in particular for the titanium stuff?
I had accidentally left wrong paths for the bringadine stuff so that should definitely be fixed now at least.
I will look at adding compatibility for the other mod in the meantime.
Hi, I'll have a look at patching compatibility for that mod. Alass
Thanks for reporting the other issues, I'll check if I mis-named a target or anything like that.
Hello, thank you for the mod. I've not gotten to making the Titanium Armor yet, but in the handbook it appears to have the original durability instead of the patched durability. Tailored Brigandine seems to also have an issue, where the Tailored Jerkins have the patched durability but the metal armors have their original values. Swordz seems to be working well!
Would you mind patching Spear Expansion? The higher tier lamellar armors and the kastenburst chestplates look very nice.
Added compatibility for Tailored Brigandine as requested boipweggers
As always, please make a comment if you find any issues with this version.
Would you mind patching it to be compatible with https://mods.vintagestory.at/tailoredbrigandine?
🥺
Minor patch for compatibility with Titanium Armor. In principle the patch should function, but if you can let me know if it's working correctly or not I'd appreciate it Nightwolf
Aside from that, anyone else please let me know if they find any issues with this version.
Would you be willing to add compatibilty for https://mods.vintagestory.at/titaniumarmor?
Minor patch for compatibility with the armour set from Feverstone Wilds.
NerArth Seems to be working, thank you!
I've released a minor patch for compatibility with any current armour from the Swordz mod. I can't test the new release right now so please let me know if there are any issues that cause a crash or error. earwiq
Hey, I was wondering if you could add compatibility for the armor in the swordz mod?
https://mods.vintagestory.at/swordz
LordEldar45 Not a dumb question really.
In principle, yes; this mod should be compatible with mods/patches that alter other values about armour, including crafting processes.
Dumb question, but would this mod be compatible with any mod that modifies other values of the armor? Such as making the armor cheaper to make?
You're a saint amongst men @NerArth
