Description

This mod serves as a sort of extra for decreasing bloat and overlapping mechanics or unneccessary items between mods and the vanilla game. Most of the changes here are relatively streightforward, and some patches only apply when certain mods are loaded together. Some of these patches are moreso flavored to my tastes, however. This mod is largely server-sided and focuses on itemtypes and recipes the most.

Note: you can go into any of the patch files and change each patch from "enabled": true -> false and overwrite the patch mod file if they don't suit your tastes, for now. Later I will be modding a configuration file once the mod grows a bit and I've learned how to do that.

The Changes

Changes to the following mods:
  • Vanilla ->
    • Doubled the Drop Rate of all Tree Seeds.
      • Reason: Not enough re-forestation going on due to lack of drops, even with XSkills' Forestry Skill. This is similar to Whole Lotta Tree Seeds, which is incompatible, but I believe they've set a flat rate for thier tree seed drops vs. the standard vanilla rates.
  • Acorns ->
    • Removed the Mallet & its Recipes, and made Dry Acorns harvestable with the Hammer tool type instead.
      • Reason: For one, to reduce bloat. Also playing with Ancient Tools Mallets, which are have more functionalities and variants. I could not patch them for the mallet tool type because it causes a guarenteed crash. If anyone knows how to make the game register custom tool types, please let me know, and I will change this accordingly.
  • Ancient Tools ->
    • Altered Vanilla Ladders (and/or Vanilla Variants' Ladders, if it's installed) Grid Recipe to use Beams as well as Sticks.
      • Reason: To make the grid recipe more closely resemble the actual item, and to find more uses for the beams where it makes sense to do so.
  • In Dappled Groves ->
    • Altered the Sawbuck Grid Recipes to use Ancient Tools' Beams instead of Planks. Wildcraft variants included.
      • Reason: These make more sense visually and function-wise for use in crafting the Sawbuck.

Roadmap

Upcoming Features:
  1. Alchemy ->
    1. Disable Alchemy's Mortar and Pestle in favor of Ancient Tools' more advanced versions, and implement each of its recipes where it makes sense to do so.
    2. I will also be implementing Potion Mixing Recipes utilizing A Culinary Artillery's Mixing Bowl.
    3. I will also Disable the Barrel Potion Recipes and implement those, as well as extra alternative Brewing Recipes, utilizing Laviosier and ChemLib.
    4. Remove the "MeatHookable" Attribute for A Culinary Artillery's Meat Hooks from Alchemy's Herbs, as I prefer the Herb Racks, and the transforms for them on the Meat Hooks is borked currently.
  2. Pallisades ->
    1. Change Pallisade Grid Recipes to use Ancient Tools' Beams if both are installed.
