Make sandwiches. Eat sandwiches. Stack as many ingredients as you want. Add anything you want, including bread on bread. Even liquids! There are practically no limits.
To make sandwich, craft cutting board, then place bread and slice it with sword or knife. Use sliced bread as sandwich base, add anything you want on top of it.
Sandwich layers limit is 16 by default, you can set it with command:
/worldConfig danacancook_sandwichLayersLimit VALUE
or
/worldConfigCreate int danacancook_sandwichLayersLimit VALUE
Just because roadmap has something doesn't mean it will get added!

Any chance you can add support for Expanded Foods (foods)? There are so many things I can't make a sandwich from :(

That command seems to increase the limit (thank you), however, it produces a strange bug.
Placing an additional layer (17th layer) on a 16 layer sandwich will duplicate a fake 16 layer sandwich in the inventory that disappears when dropped or interacted with. When placing another layer onto the real sandwich after this, another fake sandwich is duplicated into the inventory.
The fake sandwiches disappear so it's not gamebreaking but can definitely be a bit annoying when making a 20+ sandwich and receiving fake duplicate sandwiches for each layer that's added.

Sorry for being a nuisance but it still doesn't seem to be working for me, it's just giving the same message. I've tried a fresh world, with just this mod and a fresh install (+ deleting files) just in case.
I'm sure there's something I'm doing wrong but I can't figure it out, no worries 16 layers is still great.

RABHP I don't know how to fix it
It seems in VS1.20.4 that cutting bread *while* having cut bread in one's inventory makes additional ghost cut bread items (so one has 2 "true" and 2 "fake" ones), the fake ones take up a slot but disappear when interacted with or stacked together (while the "true" items automatically stack). This isn't really a problem if one only cuts one bread per sandwhich, but starts to get weird with multi-stage sandwiches (which I guess might be a sign that I should stop making bread towers).
It also seems that sandwhiches sometimes visually disappear while being worked on, but then visually reappear when the next ingredient is added. They typically stay stable once finished and placed, and seem to be more stable the more food is added (disappear on the 1st patty item, reappear on the 2nd patty item, disappear on the 3rd, ect behavior).
The behavior described above is consistent between a full vanilla save, and a modded one. None of this is game breaking, but I figured I should report it nonetheless. The fact any of this is possible in VS is somewhat mind boggling for me, so I'm already far content with how well it works.
If you want a more vanilla experience, this is the mod for you. If you want an experience that implements features from both ACA and EF, as well as some other food mods, then Sammiches is what you want.

Juko Sammiches requires Expanded Foods and Culinary Artillery. I'd argue this mod works best for modpacks that don't use either mod.
I also like the models in this mod better.
If you look at the roadmap, too, there's planned content way outside the scope of Sammiches.
What is the difference between this and the Sammiches mod? I'm debating switching them out but I'm failing to see major differences save for possibly better mod compatibility with Sammiches. Although your limit is 16 items and it's configurable where Sammiches only has 6 and is not configurable.

I don't think this latest version is working. The cutting board in my world turned into a missing block, and the crafting recipe for it is missing from the handbook. It also no longer appears in the creative mode menu. I've tested it without any other mods enabled as well, still got the same issue.
EDIT: So I disabled and re-enabled everything, and it suddenly started to work. I'm guessing it was a load order problem or something...?

I'd kill to have a compatibility patch with Culinary Artillery. I don't even care if it makes use of ACA's new food items, I just want to be able to have one work without breaking the other.

I tried circumventing the "not able to place bread" bug by just converting my bread to sliced bread in the creative menu (cheating is really helpful when playing modded games), but even then, the vast majority of foodstuffs are ACA and thus not compatible.
This mod is really interesting, but literally anyone who would ever be interested in this sort of thing already has A Culinary Artillery and Expanded Foods. If it's not compatible, it's not really useful.
Managed to make a plain bread-and-cooked-beef sandwich tho. 9.5/10

Any plans for compatibility with Primitive Survival ingredients? That also adds new types of bread. I, for one, would LOVE a worm sandwich.

I can't place any kind of vanilla bread onto a birch cutting board. The only incompatibility I could think of was Place Every Item, but I disabled it and it still wouldn't work. I haven't tried other kinds of cutting boards yet.
