Requires Config lib
Adds a neckless that greatly increases item pickup radius (or/and pickup speed if turned on in config). Can be turned on/off with a hotkey (default key is Z)
You can configure pickup radius, speed and also switch between default and simplified recipes via config file in ModConfigs or Config lib settings window (default key is P).
1.18 port will come soon Done!

Ok, which is the fast end, 0 or 10? Anyone know.
Would this mod also help with picking up items that are falling? Like when you break a floor block next to you with air under it, and it normally falls down instead of going to your obviously in-range inventory.
Maltiez Could also make an option of the bracelet slot if you like.

I was playing a text online game back in the days of AOL and, at a critical point, typed in a series of numbers wrong that I should have copy and pasted. Wasted SOOOO much effort, and I still haven't learned my lesson.

Ok, let me properly debug it. I will refactor this mod at some point, because it was just a proof of concept.
Sorry for this release, I was busy with updating Crossbows and didn't pay enough attention and take enough time to properly test this release.
Maltiez Thanks for the fix, there's still an issue with the emblem. The original necklace is working as expected, it pulls items in at the adjusted range. However the emblem doesn't seem to adjust with the config and only works at 8 blocks.

itemmagnet.yaml in VintagestoryData/ModConfig. You also should be able to just used gui (button in escape menu: Mods Settings).
cant find the config file at all. i have config lib and the newest update. jst cant seem to find it. Oo

Maltiez I'm having an issue with the config changing the distance again. This time I saved it and logged out, trying several different options. No, matter what I do it only works within 8 blocks. Even changing the range lower than 8 does nothing. It still picks up at the default. Saved and restarted each testing.

Maltiez How about making an item magnet that goes in the emblem slot instead of the neck. There's quite a few mods that use the necklace slot. But I've yet to see any that use emblem.
Maltiez I have to admit I didn't try it by itself and the dependancy in a test world but yes I reloaded it at least twice. I tried 2 or 3 combinations and only the old file and the old dependancy worked. I'll try new both now.
Edit: I tested it with the dependancies it needed. And had to take mob radar to see how far away the arrow actually was. It worked as expected. I'll try it in my actual playthrough now and see if it was having a conflict.

Have you reloaded world (leaving world and entering it again) after changing values and pressing 'Save'?
The update to the dependancy keeps the range on the item magnet from being adjusted from the default. In the window when you press P. You can adjust the range but it doesn't actually increase it.
Hey, this is perfect! Something like this will prove quite useful in VS. Love that its tied to a necklace for a proper degree of immersion as well. It's a nice touch. Thank you for your work!

Make sure you have the latest version of config lib on your server (and ImGui), this problem with weird mod-manager bug should be solved in latest versions.
Hello, when I add this mod to my server along with both dependencies, when I try to connect to the server, it says 'missing 0 mods' and never downloads anything more. When I remove this mod, the problem goes away, even if I leave the two dependencies.

I'm not trying to satisfy everyone, and this request by MiningTcup is out of scope of this mod in its current state. There is another mod planned that will solve this problem in another way.

Both. I'd like it to just be possible to get stuff from further away, and I don't really want to have to craft or wear a necklace. I also don't personally use mods that add new items, blocks, or entities, only ones that modify existing functions, in case of updates.

Is it a problem with neckless (so you might want to wear another neckless or dont want it to be displayed on player model) or with recipe cost?
Can you make a version that doesn't require a necklace but isn't as powerful?
Superfluous redundancy, just what we needed. I still have no idea why people are so against having things in a mod they don't want. Just don't make the things you don't want. I put many hours into the magnet I made because I had no code to refer to. Now all that work is forgotten.
Many Minecraft mods are loaded with things people don't use, I didn't think it was that big of an issue.
