A simple client and server mod which adds an additional dialog next to your inventory into which you can trash any useless items. There is no undo. Once the item is gone, it's gone, so be careful.

Is this mod going to be updated??
I also got reports from players that items got deleted that have not been in the filter.
If you use this mod, fired crocks disappear from your inventory!!!
Would be great if there was a time window of 30 seconds or so in which you could drag and drop trashed items out again.

Can confirm, the window does not appear. Probably due to the update breaking the code or something. Idk, i'm not a programmer.

No longer works in 1.18.10 (window stopped showing up completely).

WickedSchnitzel I believe the issue should be fixed. Please give it a try and let me know if you're still seeing it.
If you enable 'Immersive Mouse Mode' in the options, you should be able to freely look around with the mouse, even when the menu/ inventory is open. This is not possible anymore with this mod installed. We still need to press the 'Alt' key, like it needs to be done when Immersive Mouse Mode is disabled.
@JimmyMac I'm not sure I am hitting the same issue you are. Can you describe it in more detail?
Very sad this is abandoned. It doesn't work on Net7 builds, though works as expected for Net4
FYI - This breaks imerssive mouse mode if you use it which I do :(

Thanks for the suggestion Just_a_cat, I love it. I've got a basic version working, but it will need some testing before it's ready to release.
great idea. I have been carying the trash can from Necessaries
every where I go so I can get rid of things when inventory gets full.
A hard thing to do when I use the magnet from Flexible Tools
this will save me an inventory slot.

But can i suggest additional feature?
"Trash item filter slot(s)" - you put sample of item(s) in this slot, and any similar item, picked up from ground, goes directly to trash.
