This mod was originally created Axsolus. Therefore, all credit goes to him for the creation of this mod.
However, Axsolus has been inactive in the VS modding community for some time (far as I can tell); the mod has been broken for some time now since the release of 1.17. While broken, the footsteps played by animals were not present because of the changes to gravel footsteps. The fix was simple.
I will not be furthering the development of this mod. This is simply a fix, and I wanted to share the working mod with the community.
If and when Axsolus returns to VS modding and updates his mod, or it is requested, I will promptly delete this mod.

Fixes the 1.17 issues SMFS has, and works great!

EDIT: Works just fine. As far as noises while riding, it does not play any noise. Will look into that as well.
Thank you for the mod, I got a question I use Horses mod, is there a way to make it work with horses?
Oh my god I could kiss you, I've always used that mod and the current version only works for drifters. I cannot overemphasize just how much hearing mob footsteps adds to my enjoyment 😁 (I was even just thinking earlier today how I hope it got updated soon)
