The hotkey press moves current hours (in active storage) to internal storage, the next press moves hours from internal storage to active storage. Displayed hours in description is what is in active storage. Item stack attributes are used as storages.

If you add fuel to turned-off mask it will start working, and hotkey will add internal hours to active. Next press will turn it off.

First hotkey press for a new item just initiates values.
