Disclaimer:
This mod was originally created for a personal server, after the need for crafting recipes for certain blocks was requested.
While other such mods exist, they either include blocks/items not suitable for survival, lacked certain blocks/items that were requested or just weren't balanced for what we were looking for. Because of all of this, I have taken upon the task of slowly adding recipes to a large amount of items that currently lack a recipe, along with fixing some oddities with existing recipes. No new items are added with this mod, and no world generation changes are needed, you can use this on old/existing worlds.
If you have a block/item that you want a recipe added to this mod, please feel free to request it! I will also be gradually updating this mod to include further recipes requested from my server. (Along with making any changes due to updates)
List of items/blocks with new recipes can be found below!
All recipes should be available in the ingame handbook. If a recipe doesn’t use the grid, it will say so in the list. The x# at the end of each recipe specifies how many added recipes there are for the item (Does not count existing recipes and does not count alternative materials, if it did the metalblock recipe would have x18).

I'll try and put out a updated version with that fix in it!
For anyone using this mod on 1.19.x and wondering why they can't craft any of the aged ebony blocks,
Open the mod's zip file and then navigate to the recipe file for aged wooden blocks, and change any item id that has "ns" in it like "game:planks-ebony-ns" to include "ud" instead, like "game:planks-ebony-ud".
found a bug... it removes thatch from most thatch roof recipes in 1.19.8
Yes that would be a simple addition Moonbyes
how about sleek doors? been looking for a mod that makes them craftable and i'm not sure there is one.
It should already work on 1.19 but I'll go through it and make sure there isn't any broken recipes from the update changes Marlim
Will this mod be updated to 1.19?
Xandyr78 That's a good idea! I'll see if I can get something like that working.
Forgive me if this is a stupid question, as I am not a modder...but would it be possible to create a mod that allows all the "rubble," "aged," "broken" etc. items to be deconstructed into small amounts of materials, perhaps with a pick, hammer, axe, or chisel as part of the recipe? There's a TON of "filler" in VS, and it'd be nice to be able to make something of it, even if it's just breaking it into base wood that can then be burned, metal for smelting (or scraps for weapons/tools) or forging, etc.

I should have another version out soon to fix some issues with balancing and some small additions.
I honestly forgot that we can't craft those anymore, sure I can add those easily. Bumber
Could you add sleek doors? I guess you'd craft a solid door and a chisel together, or remove a few planks from the door recipe.
gndrneutralnoun If there is one thing that is nice about black bronze is that it's very pretty as a building material or a texture on items!
Using this mod and I gotta say, I love the choice to use black bronze for chandeliers. As the superior light source, I've always found the fact that you have to buy them to be extremely annoying, and using black bronze (which is otherwise borderline useless) makes it pretty balanced IMO.
I am currently aware of a bug where the brick slab and stair recipe currently do not display in the handbook. This will be fixed in the next version shortly (along with a change to the metal block recipe that should allow for mod compatibility!).
