MoreBags Mod
This mod serves as a lightweight addition providing four additional bag options including a four-slot wicker backpack and a six-slot wicker mining pack, two wood frame backpacks consisting of an 8-slot general bag and a 12-slot mining bag, and two iron-age frame packs constructed from fabric and leather and a forged iron frame consisting of a ten-slot general bag and a fifteen-slot mining bag.
This mod has cross-compatible content with two of my other mods:
- Having Spider Silk installed and enabled allows you to make a silk frame pack which is nine-slot general bag and a silk miner's frame pack which is an eighteen-slot mining frame pack
- Having Hide and Fabric installed and enabled allows you to make frame packs and miner's frame packs out of the cotton and wool that Hide and Fabric provides, the cotton and wool frame packs are also eight-slot general bags and the cotton and wool miner's frame packs are also fifteen-slot mining bags.

I'd be happy to include that in the base mod if you'd be willing. I'm mostly just doing general upkeep on a few of Catasteroids mods and don't have the time to directly do fixes like this.
For Setej and anyone else who wants is, here are the files to fix the wooden frame backpacks. Replace the originals in the mod's zip and reload the game.

It looks like creating both the wooden frame and the wooden frame backpack is impossible, as the recipes don't show up in the handbook. Also, the wooden frame has the correct texture, but is called iron frame in the handbook.
As it turns out, the recipe for the wooden frame backpack doesn't actually exist in the files and needs to be added. The wooden frame recipe does exist, but all of the items for it need "game:" added at the front of their code. Meanwhile, the wooden frame's name needs to be updated in English, but I don't know enough Japanese or Russian to know whether those need to be updated (but I wouldn't be surprised if they do)

So I just crafted one of the iron frame backpacks (linen) and it doesn't seem to do anything? I've got it in one of my backpack slots and it's not giving me any storage space at all. (Game version 1.21.4, mod version 1.4.0)
any chance of updating it to 1.20?

Which bag specifically are you asking about, the wicker pack? I have it set up like the mining sack but I'm not very happy with it as it stands so I'll be changing it back to a normal container when I release the next version. Like the mining sack in it's current form it will hold rocks, minerals, metal ingots, armour components and other similar items. I intend to bring an update out within the next week or two.
Curious, is there a list of what this can and cannot hold? I've only been able to toss specific items within it, and nothing above mentions that being a thing.
