Allows picking up and carrying blocks, especially containers along with their contents, in your hands and on your back.

[[ Usage ]]

To pick up a block with your hands, sneak and hold right click.
A circular progress bar will be visible around your cursor as you wait.
You can only pick up certain supported blocks, such as baskets, chests, barrels, vessels (including broken ones), anvils, ...

To put a block onto your back, sneak and hold right click without aiming at a block.
A smaller selection of blocks can be put on your back. Notably, baskets can be worn on your back without any downsides.

To put a block down, or from your back into your hands, just sneak and hold right click again.

Typically, when carrying containers, you are slowed down by some amount.
You also cannot sprint when carrying a block in your hands.

When taking any damage, you drop what you're holding in your hands.
When you die, what you're carrying on your back will drop at your death location.

Sometimes the slot on the hotbar in which you previously held the box begins to hide any items in it. It is only found with CC and most often occurs after you have taken damage and dropped the box. Fixes if you pick up any box again and put copygirl

Hello. I don't understand what's wrong but the mod works only on multiplayer. On single player I can't pick up containers. Am I missing something? :)

SOLVED:

I use a custom dataPath 'cause I play on different servers. Those mods are not loaded in single player. Now I put them also in vintagestory/Mods and everything works again 😄

Roh Ah, I see. I think the developers changed something in the API that broke the mod. Pretty frustrating. I uploaded a new version of the mod which hopefully works.

(Or not... either way, I rebuilt the mod I suppose.)

Hi, I tried running the mod on 1.5.6 (stable release) and this is what I've got in the log:

This mod should work fine in 1.15.6. The Aura Fury community of which I'm part of runs this mod on their large and pretty active server without problem. I will mark the latest version as compatible.

Maelstrom Thoth Please check your log files. Does the mod load? Are there any obvious errors or warnings popping up? Are you using the latest version?

Nathans_Gambit This is an older issue that's been floating around for some time and I believe doesn't have anything to do with CarryCapacity. Happens without CarryCapacity, too.

The wife and I were using this on 1.15.6 I think it is. The newest update. And weird things were happening. Meat disappeared out of her carried basket and terra pretta at one point. Not all at once either just here and there. Where we were just chalking it up to user error. And then one of the baskets on the ground where we were storing bones in it, the bones disappeared at one point. Removed the mod and no more issues. The only other mod we have is the one that makes us have better toned skins. So yea while it wasnt anything super "important" that we lost we didnt want to take a chance on it being something important at some point. So I definitly say use at your own risk

Strange, the latest version of CarryCapacity works just fine in my 1.15.5 world, haven't had any issues at all.

Seconding Maelstrom. Tested it without any other mods to make sure it wasn't a conflict and still produced buggy behavior. Verified hands empty and no items on back or anything and barrels/chests just open when clicked without any UI/tooltips for picking up.

Mod seems to not work in 1.15.5.  Have two empty hands and containers open/close when attempting to pick them up.  Did I miss something?

@Intyalle I've been able to play with 1.15.3 just fine, picking up baskets, chests, vessels, ... Is your off-hand slot empty?

Using 0.6.2 on 1.15.3 single player, unable to pick up my reed baskets (haven't tested anything else yet)
