Have you ever had a full hotbar and needed a free hand to pick up a rock or a stick off the ground? Do you play with the "immersive mouse" and get tired of dragging the mouse from hotbar to chest, to hotbar to chest? Do you simply want a single extra item slot at your disposal? Then I got a solution for you!
This mod adds a hotkey that allows you to swap the active item in your hot bar with the mouse item slot! I find that this makes playing in immersive mouse mode much more ergonomic.
The default binding is "V" and you can remap it after you join a world. Please let me know how it works for you!

rayray Check out my new mod! It might be what you were looking for.
@rayray Unfortunately, the mod doesn't change/add any features to mouse input. In the vanilla game, there's a literal item slot reserved for the mouse to pick up/ hold items, and this mod gives access to it with a hotkey. Never the less, I can look into your request! Worse case scenario, I have to hack the feature in with another library!
since you can change mouse function can you make a mod that if can use sprint and duck on mouse 4 and 5 i hate using shift and caps lock for those function ?
