So this mod is basically made more for me, because I'm a lazy bastard at times and don't have the patience to wait an in-game week for the refractory furnaces to fire. It's a very rudimentary mod, my first attempt at one built off of basically copy pasting the frameworks I needed and changing the items in them. I figured someone else out there may enjoy it, so have at it!
This just allows you to make an alloy with iron and chromium in a semi-realistic (not really) ratio, to at least keep it balanced.
Also, in order to make the smelting temperatures achievable, I use DanaCraluminum wonderful mod Configure Everything to raise the burn temperature of coal/charcoal and lower the temperature of chromium in the CombustibleProperties config file!

VaelophisNyx I have tested it in-game with the cauldron and anvil molds, and can confirm they do work without any additional modding. Happy to report that the game does play nicely with liquid steel in a crucible!
Edit: I said cauldron instead of crucible initially
LarekFlynn Keep in mind the mold has to be set up for that too, and EF's aren't
Ruyeex Your mod actually was part of the inspiration for me to give making this one a try! I was searching for a steel alloy mod, saw a lack of one, and saw your mod for the mteteoric iron, and just went for it!
I also made one but for Meteoric Iron
LarekFlynn I hadn't even thought of that, but you're totally right! Extra bonus I hadn't even originally intended for!
Finally a way to cast the steel cauldron from A Culinary Artillery! before you could only cast copper and bronze cauldrons.
