stablesurface_0.0.2.zip 1-click install

A simply mod that uses harmony to tweak the games code so that it checks if the location is above sea level before deciding the stability level.

No longer will you find a cool place above ground to build only to find your little gear spinning down!

This mod disables the random unstable regions while still leaving the rest of the system alone. underground will still drain sanity as well as rifts.

Since this mod overrides base game code using Harmony, It's recommended to create a backup when adding this mod to an untested version of the game.

uhm, working now on rc3? Very weird

💬 RedKnight, Dec 13th at 11:31 PM

not workig on rc2, no world gen mods :(

quartzar It might've just been something with the modded world generation then! Good to know though if that's true.

It should work with existing worlds! That was the main reason I made it originiall for myself as I found a cool spot later in my save that was unstable lol. Also how I made sure it is working on its own in 1.20.

I will try it with plains and valleys and see what I find! Thanks for the help

Wafers it could totally be because I was using a worldgen mod - Plains and Valleys.

I tested it by recreating a world with same config as an existing one (including seed) but with this mod enabled, and went to a surface spot I knew was temporally unstable from the existing world.

Ended up just making a new world and travelling south until I came across a nice base location that was temporally stable, so I'm really sorry but I'm not gonna be able to provide much more help than that:(

Unless it works retrospectively when added to an existing world? Then I could test it and let you know?

Either way, I will remove my comment that says it doesn't work!:-)

quartzar What exactly is not working? Just tested it on a new world and it seems to still work as intended. (this was on 1.20.0-rc1)

Mod does not work on 1.20.0-rc.1 :(

Nevermind, must have been a mod conflict on my end!

Will this work when 1.20 comes out?

💬 Cielliere, May 13th at 10:10 PM

I'm currently using this on 1.19.7, and it appears to be working.

Love to see an update for 1.19.7! :)

Any chance for an update to this mod to 1.19?

💬 SuaveDoggo, Jan 25th at 9:31 AM

Is it possible to get a version that just makes a *mostly* stable surface ? I like the idea of some areas being unstable, but when every single area I want is unstable that's no bueno

Hello same wish here this is exactly what we need to fully enjoy the world generation above sea level

💬 Theisgood, Nov 6th 2023 at 7:00 AM
