Latest release (for Vintage Story 1.21.4, outdated):
Simple Concrete 1.2.3.zip 1-click install
Features:
Currently adds 68 blocks with different shades of color and soft textures, all craft recipes can be viewed in the handbook but you do need barrels to start getting some color in your world.
32 of the blocks are made to resemble the creative exclusive blocks, but are not a 1:1 so if you have another mod that adds these blocks you now have shades/textures you can work with!.
About Simple Concrete:
I find that VS lacks a more colorful palette of blocks for modern style building, murals and pixelart. I like to do all 3 of these activities so I decided to make my very first mod to deal with the issue.
I'm aiming to make the crafting around the difficulty of plaster / bricks so that mass production is not that big of a deal, also I would be happy to add more shades or building utilities so please feel free to suggest!. Aiming to keep around a "vanilla" like balance for recipes but not overcomplicate things.
To do:
- Add a lighter color and darker color of all shades of concrete currently in the mod.
- Add a very clean texture variant of the same shades (maybe a rough texture also?)
- Add lights that mimic the creative light item ✔ (Change glow of some blocks)
- Add more glass colors
- Add an alternative method of crafting the harder to renew dyes
- Change the textures of concrete items ✔
- Will make crafting lumen blocks have a more efficient way of crafting using a quern ✔
Change Log:
- v1.2.2: Luminous Oxide can now be crafted in the quern giving you 12 units instead of 4, prepared some files for translation and started working on a simple guide.
- v1.2.2: Updated to 1.21.4 and fixed some small bugs.
- v1.2.1: Fixed crashes related to light blocks and crafting.
- v1.2.0: New blocks to mimic creative light blocks, and a new way to craft dye that uses only renewable resources.
- v1.1.0: Updated to 1.19.X, added 48 new shades; 32 of them to resemble the creative color blocks.
- v1.0.1: Added extra colors and concrete color mixing for future colors.
- v1.0.0: Made the first draft with the basic dye colors.

This mod will be updated to 1.22.2 ?
Thanks for your observations, the mod is now working on 1.21 and Ill add some stuff in the following days.
When placing brown pigment mix in a barrel with water, it doesnt turn into brown dye. JerrySea
Love your mod. Using it on my megabuild now. Slight issue though that I picked up, and I am not sure if this needs to be reported to you or to @Hellaeh. When uncrafting the chiscelled blocks using Normalliser, I only get the original base block (ex grey concrete) back, any other chiscelled blocks (ex light grey concrete, or any other block from your mod) is lost to the void.
Edit: Its not your mod. The fault is with Normaliser 2.0. And one that I forgot about. Since I am using modsupdater now, it got updated. Downgrading back to 1.1 (normaliser), and blacklisting it for updates fixed the problem.
Awesome!
