Latest file for v1.18.15:
kegrevival_1.0.3.zip

I remade/patched/fixed the mod Ye Olde Keg for 1.18.x. The original author is Sean_OCuin.
Its mostly a nice looking keg that stores liquids and makes them spoil slower.

the keg isnt preserving the wine i put in it :(
in the barrel it holds for 40d and in keg its only 6d :/
Good news, updated mod for this is just published with the fixes to spoiling and for items rotting in them. I left out the curing since it was probably deliberately left out so you don't just use kegs instead of barrels for all the liquids you make. I kept the spoil rate the same as the original mod so it scales reliably regardless of location

Yeah so the comments are right about not being able to empty the keg, this can probably be fixed with a simple recipe to turn a keg into a new keg in the crafting grid just as an easy way to fix it but i can take a peek at the ability to scoop out the rot like you would a normal barrel.
But yeah the equation does seem a bit messed up since it doesn't match the barrel's equation really. So the functionality is a little weird if you mess with the perish rate. I can look into it a bit and see if I can look at the barrel spoil speed equation and see if its possible to just make it scale off that but make it ~60% better than the normal barrel (as per what the original mod shows in the screenshots).
It might also be nice to see if this mod can mimic how barrels preserve liquids longer indoors/in cellars as well. If I manage to get something working with some or all of that i'll give another @ and post a keg revival revival mod or something:)
Hey just loaded up the mod and gave it a spin. Are you sure this isn't from a diffrent mod having compatibility issues? The mod seems to be working fine as is on 1.19.8.
In case you want to try it yourself, I made a creative world and made a cellar with a barrel and the keg. Put a bucket of milk in both and the keg had 190% the preservation of the barrel outside and around 60% inside the cellar.
The only issue with the liquid preservation is that the keg is technically just as efficient inside the cellar vs outside the cellar and it isn't allowed to cure liquids (not a huge issue, its design is more as something people serve liquids from given the spigot).
I didnt give letting liquids rot a go though but I will give it a shot in a few minutes or so.
edit: It looks like some liquids (maybe ones that have been touched up?) dont last as long as in the barrel, the only one i have seen so far is milk though. It might have something to do with the food spoil rate you set it to since the test world it looked like it perserved longer but on a second creative world where I set the spoil speed to 400% it is having this issue. I can look into it a little more but it would almost definitely be from the equation on line 45 of kegrevival\BlockEntityKeg.cs

1.19.x? would be cool if this was in a culinary artillery
Any plans on carrying on updating this on behalf of the original author? They seem to have stopped uploading or posting on the forums. Still hoping to see a fix for the lack of liquid preservation!
please update!
Hey, I submitted an issue on the GitHub for the ongoing bug, for you - as stated by others below, liquids spoil at their normal rates, Cind12
It is possible that it comes from the fact that it doesn't register a Perish State modifier like the barrel does for the liquid within it either due to entity or class, but I hardly know much about coding.
Cind12 I am also not getting a slower perish speed, even when the barrel is placed in a cellar
Just confirmed for sure that the kegs are not preserving contents at all. Having mead in a barrel would last 18 days for me, when placed in the keg, it says it will last 13 days.

I agree, liquids are spoiling ten times faster than in buckets. If we can't get the rot out, better to make the liquids never spoil than end up with useless kegs of rot.
Still loving the mod, but it does not seem like the stored liquids are being preserved well...they seem to be spoiling at a normal rate.
Cind12 There seems to be an issue, when liquid in a container turns to rot, there is no way to get it out, even breaking and replacing it, using buckets, jugs, etc doesn't fix it.
This doesn't seem to make liquids spoil slower for me, not sure why
Hi!! Unusual request, but I was wondering if you could add a patch or alternate version where the keg has the ability to cure liquids? (to be compatible with expanded foods). I've been digging for hours trying to sort out how to add that but I'm not experienced in modding lol.

Thanks from me too for reviving this. Much more immersive in a cellar for storing spoilable liquids. :)
Thanks for pointing that out! Should be fixed with 1.0.3.
Thank you for reviving this. There is a visual bug however with the item name. The keg is listed in game as "kegrevival:block-kegrevival"
Nice one, I actually had fixing this mod on my todo list, glad to see you've done it :)
