When i change the seed output in the mod file to a number other than 1, the mod manager in-game says the mod was unable to be loaded. What's up with that?
So instead of a 1:1 exchange ratio of plant to seed, i was wanting something like 1:2 or 1:3 for example.
Does this works on 1.9? also, is he mod active? does the code is open source??
@Gikame
you can modify the file inside the mod. I personally changed all indgedient vaules to 4 (so you need 4 carrots to produce 1 seed)
Mod still works in the newest version.
However as J3ng3n poitned out, it would be cool if we could perhaps get a config at one point in time. As it stands right now, I will make a rule for myself to actually throw away crops or just throw them into compost because getting seeds this quickly feels like a bit of a cheat, especially for stuff like Cabbages which are seriously good for meals as a whole with their high saturation.
Id argue that easy foods should need up to 16 crops to make a seed, harder foods maybe 4? It really depends on the amount you would get from harvesting I suppose.
I was looking for something like this, and so far this mod seems to be the "best" option. thanks.
Really love the concept here, especially in a multiplayer setting where I'm fighting over wild seeds and very slow startup. As a comment if you ever consider increasing functionality: Perhaps increasing to berries, papyrus, or cattails? Also, I think there's a lot of value add for a configuration file that would allow for a balance (i.e. a flat multiplier to allow for a decrease in return - think four grain per seed return)
Thank you for your contribution, Ragnaman
