Greetings, sweetlings!
Here we have my first written from scratch mod for Vintage Story! It adds 13 craftable staves to the game, one of each wood type, which are useable as a weapon, as well as a 'shield' (to simulate the concept of parrying).
The staves are useable in both the main and off-hand, and the shield effects work in either slot. This means you can have a lantern in your off-hand, and the staff in your main-hand, and still have a block chance!
The block percentage is quite low, lower than the crude shield in the base game.
Statistics may be reworked at some point, depending on how balance feels long-term.

Please consider the mod only compatibile with 1.16.5 at the moment, while I troubleshoot why it hates 1.17.9. I have marked it accordinly. Sorry about that. 😓
I get a start-up crash when trying to use this mod. I'm not a part of the server, of course. Just on single player. No idea why. I do use other mods.
