I like the colder regions of the game, but the complete absence of reeds makes starting in one unreasonably difficult unless you get lucky with the ruin and wild crop generation. Rope can be crafted with vines, which are available in colder regions, allowing the crafting of a hunter's backpack in a climate which lacks reed or papyrus.

1.5.0
+ added Mod Manager description
+ new variants of the mod (keep alt recipes, cheaper rope)

2.0.0
+ reworked recipe, the overall resource cost is now closer to vanilla
+ new mod icon
- I don't find the previous mod variants to be needed with the new recipe

I like the idea of this mod very much.
It's also disconcerting that the other tools are visually roped in, but the recipe for creation doesn't require a rope.
It would be more realistic and interesting if a new and different mod, or even a development of this mod, could be like that.

Axebeard While I don't remember the error message by the word, it could be a blunder on my end in formatting the compressed folder when I "cleaned up" my mods. Instead of having the mod files in a compressed folder, I had a same-named folder inside the .zip which contained the mod files, and that's a layer too deep for the mod manager to read. You could simply open the compressed folder and drag and drop the contents, but this just means it would also take me no time at all to format my mods like literally everyone else.

EDIT: fixed, now I follow the same formatting as other mods... I was wondering why the uploader wasn't auto-detecting the mod version and ID, now though it's all good

Awesome, will check it out!
Edit: "unable to load mod, please check log files on HBNRALT (Keep Recipe), which I'm assuming adds the rope version as an alternate?

Axebeard I threw together a few variants.

Any way to make this an additional recipe instead of replacing the default one?
