Tired of waiting forever for your barrel to finish making your leather?

This mod decreases processing times down by a large amount, its not instant, but expect to see around a 40-60% faster processing time. Also item ingredient cost has been re-balanced to be more generous and lead to better rounded recipes instead of being awkwardly limited by the barrels 50 L capacity; eg you can now pickle a whole stack of vegetables at once.

You can also cut hides down into small hides, you dont loose any leather doing so, just a little QOL change so you can process all your leather in one barrel easily.

updated to 1.16

  • re-worked changes:
  • times all still reduced over vanilla values
  • hides can now be cut down into small hides for ease of tanning
  • improved outputs of dye related recipes
  • improved compost output
  • reduced item material costs for some liquid creation recipes, limewater takes 15 lime now for 50L, only need 1 oak log for 50L of weak tannin, 50L brine takes 20 salt, cured meat only takes 1 salt, ect.
  • some recipes, namely cassava no longer consume water to soak them, they still need a little water in the barrel though
  • using diluted borax for leather processing is faster than using limewater

Seems to work in 1.20.x, at least if you follow the instructions in the comment bellow

It works in 1.19 but you must edit the mod (the "patches" folder with the .json 's must be in the "quickerbarrel" folder not the "recipes").

If you done than boom the mod works.

Can't seem to cut down the leather to make them all small. Instead it wants to make rawhide clothes (a shirt and some trousers).
