More Clay Mod v1.0.1
This mod adds raw red and brown clay types and deposits of those clay types to the world which allows you to produce the red and brown clay bricks and shingles that are present in various ruin types and in the inventories of building materials traders, but otherwise largely difficult to get hold of in large quantities.
Brown and red clay deposits are half as common as blue clay deposits (0.01 tries per chunk vs blue clay's 0.02 tries per chunk) but still 2.5x more common as fire clay deposits (fire clay deposits are only 0.004 tries per chunk). You can make all the common ceramic articles (bowls, cooking pots, watering cans, flower pots, etc) with brown and red clay though they currently use the blue clay texture for the raw versions of those articles.
Now you will be able to make and fire as many brown and red shingles, bricks and hardened clay blocks as might ever want!
This mod has compatibility with the Bricklayers mod; any duplicate items, blocks and recipes are disabled when Bricklayers is installed but the raw red and brown clay deposits will still spawn if Bricklayers is installed and the raw red and brown clay soil blocks will drop Bricklayers red and brown clay items instead.

Emily_Mewens Don't know if this matters to you anymore, but if you go into Stonepiles and delete claypiles.json and the section for clay in SetPilableClasses.json, clayforming (at least with brown clay, haven't found red yet since I fixed it) works fine again. The same fix works for Stonepiles and More Piles but with stonepiles.json and the respective SetPilableClasses section removed instead if anyone is curious.
Unlikely something fixable on your end, but figured id give a heads up. Stone Piles mod prevents clay forming with your clay. It seems to be a known problem with other mods (like bricklayer) and is doubtfully going to be fixed on their end. Might help debug some peoples problems.
Jomeaga Good call, I've reuploaded the zip file with a fixed modinfo
v1.0.2's modinfo.json is missing a comma at the end of the contributors line. The mod wouldn't load until I added it.
Thanks for updating the mod to 1.19!

Disable everything, make a creative world, enable clay mod and test. Enable more mods until everything works or you find the incompatibility.
I can't get this mod or Betterclay to allow me to clay form with red or brown clay. Blue clay and fire clay are unaffected. The deposits were generated with Betterclay, I'm not sure if that matters. I can also still use the raw clay to make red and brown bricks and fire them.
I don't think I have any other mods affecting clay forming. I've been slowly disabling random mods while attempting to not blow up my server. Any guesses on what has disabled clay forming for Red and Brown and left Fire and Blue alone? Should I just call it a loss and hope that if Bricklayers gets updated it'll fix the problem?
1.18.8 net7, it works but you can't actually create with it in fireing bowls, crocks, vessals and so on, as the color of the clay (red or brown). It all turns to blue clay. Would have been nice to as Brick Layers doesn't work on 1.18.8 net7.
Works in 1.18, no issues yet
Will this work in 1.18?? If not, when will you update?
Idk if its just me, and I will have to do more testing with just this mod by itself. But I played in a world with this mod installed, had tons of red & brown clay everyone and not a single peat deposit. and I searched high and low for it. Didnt really realize it was this mod thought it was just a bad world spawn, but after spawninga bunch of regular worlds and seeing all the peat, I feel like something is going on where this is deleting the pete spawn or making peat extremely rare. I will test this by itself and see what happens some more.
Was the omission of the storage vessel deliberate or an oversight? I was kind of looking forward to seeing colored vessels.
