While each armor type has its own advantages and disadvantages, there is a significant imbalance in the cost of brigandine compared to it's durability, and chain is slightly too expensive .
This mod makes slight changes to bring the cost efficiency of metal armours to similar levels.

Specifically Lamellar is boosted 10% durability,

Chain has its cost for a set lowered by 6 ingots and its durability increased 25%

Brig has its durability lowered 8% and its cost increased 54%

Note that lowering cost for chain has also lowered the cost for Plate and scale which use chain too.

The figures were balanced based on iron and may need some tweaking for other tiers, but using these small changes now the durability to cost for armours (iron tier) is between 29 and 33  whereas before it was from 20 - 50 durability per ingot for a full set.

Wood lamelar was also increased 25% which really doesnt make much difference but you might get one extra hit from a ram. Enjoy.

V 1.0.2 fixes bug in Brigandine, Buffs Improvised armour and slightly increases wood lamellar again

V 1.1.0 Adds Bone armor which is a minor upgrade over wooden lamellar.

Ive noticed copper plate is anomolously low durability so i will patch that and then look at anything else that is outlying.

Oh yeah I'll take another look at this soon. I'm feeling that maybe i did make the bone armour a little overpowered, but maybe it should just be a bit heavier to compensate.

LOVE having something I can do with all these freaking extra bones! Any chance they could be made repairable with additional bones, the way Wooden Lamellar can be?

I never understand why people overrate Brigandine so much. Its stats and downsides are worse than chain and lag just behind scale, the budget option for high defence.
The one thing it has going for it is that it's relatively cheap to craft and provides a high amount of durability, but you could make a leather set and get similar stats but way cheaper with no downsides.
Like I would get the popularity of brig if it wasn't sandwiched between the power of chain, the cheapness of leather, and the utility of gambeson.

This mod does work in 1.17, and i am using it right now, however the vanilla lamallar recipie was significantly reduced, the mod is still compatible without breaking but now lamallar is very op, just as op as brigidine was before this patch, so i will need to rethink the balance for 1.17 to address this. Alternatively i could just boost the cost of lamallar but that isnt in the spirit of this mod, trying to work on the vanilla 'balance'
