This is a simple mod that makes Drifters and Locusts of all types left alone by the Passive setting for Creature Hostility.

They will still be permanently Passive if Creature Hostility is set to Off

This mod also modifies the balance of these creatures slightly, making Locusts of all types drop the various metal items
previously only dropped by Sawblade Locusts at a low rate, altering HP values, and outgoing damage values. Most of
the stat changes are just to prevent being one-shot by the tougher critters.

Changes to stats are as follows:

Drifters:
Surface/Normal Damage reduced from 2.5 to 2
Deep Damage reduced from 4 to 3
Tainted HP reduced from 22 to 18, Damage reduced from 8 to 6
Corrupted HP increased from 30 to 33, Damage reduced from 12 to 10
Nightmare HP increased from 40 to 45, Damage reduced from 20 to 18

Locusts:
Bronze now have a small chance to drop Rusty Gears, Metal Parts and Metal Scraps on death.
Corrupt can now drop the same, with slightly higher rates. Damage decreased from 4 to 3.
Sawblade drop rates have been slightly increased. Damage decreased from 16 to 14.

My mod simply removes them from the Inhostile Creatures modifier (assets/survival/patches/inhostilecreatures.json). There is also a Passive Creatures json in there in 1.15.x.

1.16 doesn't use these files any more as far as I can tell, and instead each creature has a Hostility tag in its file. On top of that, 1.16 also makes bighorns and wild pigs neutral by default, I think, so my mod is basically defunct in purpose now, other than the drops. I will not be updating this, and unfortunately don't know anything about how to make the changes specific to Exploration style.

Hello ! I didn't try the mod but was trying to create one which looks quite the same... But I don't understand how to do it ahah ^^
For mine, I'd like to keep drifters and locusts aggressive when we are in gamemode exploration...
Could you explain to me how to do that if it's not too difficult please ?
You can find me on the Vintage Story Discord server :)
