Wombats can be domesticated over time, reducing the chance of them harming players and reducing their flee distance.
Queensland Lion makes loud calls from time to time, acting as an early warning for players who learn to recognize which animals are making the sounds. What’s more, meat can be set on the ground that will temporarily sate Queensland Lion, making them ignore the player unless they get too close. Or meat can be used to lure them into hazardous terrain.
Queensland Lion are extremely powerful and fast and fighting them head on is not recommended. Using historical hunting tactics is recommended, such as luring them into pit traps, burning the foliage around them, pitting them against other animals and going in for the kill or other indirect methods.
Features:
All species have a unique pelt that can be used to craft hide, and taxidermied full body.
A big thanks to Cuddly Khan for commissioning the extant wombats!
A big thanks to Endarius_Termina for commissioning the extinct wombats, Mungo Swamp Cow and Queensland Lion!
And a big thanks to everyone who gave feedback and assistance!
A: Get a male and female adult of a given species within 10 blocks, wait until the female is ready to mate and feed her the sufficient number of portions and the male at least one. Different species require different amounts and can be found in the entity file under the multiply section. Animals can be fed either by dropping items on the ground or by using the large trough. The small trough is not supported at this time due to patching formats. Each species diet can be found in this mod's description or in their entity file under the diet section. After 10 generations, entities stop attacking the player and after 10 generations they will no longer flee the player. Only the mother's generation matters for progressing generations.
Q: Why so many animal packs? Can't you make one giant one?
A: The combined size of this series exceeds the Mod data base's file upload size limit and therefore could not be hosted on this site, making it extremely difficult for servers to use. What's more, I don't know just how large certain clade file sizes will get as new features come out and I want to ensure they don't need to be split in the future, as that may cause considerable server issues. Whenever mod packs are implemented, or if there are other resources for creating a more organized bundle, I will do so.
Q: Is this mod safe to add and remove to an existing world?
A: Yes, this mod series is safe to add and remove. Items from this mod that have been placed will be invisible or appear as question blocks if the mod is removed but can be safely broken.

And check the FAQ pezrabioso
You should update to the latest version, I might have forgotten to include that in the change log, but that should be fixed in the most recent version
Is it a typo in the spawn chances that the Owen's are 200 times more likely than the others to spawn?
Does anyone know how to breed the Queensland Lions? Manage to pen a mating pair. Thanks in advance.
I'm having a game-crashing issue with this mod:
I killed an Owen's Giant Wombat and when I checked the handbook to see what I could do with it's hide, the game crashes when I click the "ingredient for huge hide" icon to see how to turn it into vanilla leather-working items.
The top line of the crash log says:
System.ArgumentException: Attempted to resolve the recipe ingredient wildcard Item capreolinae:pelt-* but there are no such items/blocks!
If you'd like the rest of the crash log, just let me know. I really appreciate the variety your mods add to the game.
Cannot express how happy I am to see Thylacoleo finally make it in. Not nearly enough people know about these critters, they're way too cool to be as obscure as they are. Now we just need someone to hook them up to PetAI and it'll be perfect
Typically they are called Marsupial or Pouch Lions, but that's for the whole genus, so went with something more narrow in case the other species are made later.
That's good to know, though I am full up on commissions at the moment. Keep an eye on my page and I'll change it when I have some free slots joeyjoejoe
Endarius_Termina Thank you! I've been meaning to comission the Thylacoleo myself.
I didn't know they were called Queensland Lions. I was first introduced to them in ARK Survival Evolved and have found a little bit of info about them online. Very excited to die to them in a new game. 😂
I'd be open to commission the Diprotodon but your page says commissions are closed.
I genuinely thought diprotodon was Owen's giant wombat! If there's a larger one, please by all means don't put it in. 😅
Blame Endarius_Termina for the big wombat 😆 no plans to add Diprotodon unless someone commissions them
Oh, boy... you just haaaad to add Owen's. We're in danger. 😅
Yay for the new exinct wombats!
Can't help but see the Ignavus Carnis from Vita Carnis in the picture.
That bug is fixed in the latest version Dirty_Wizard there was an unused recipe for baby wombat pelts, which didn't exist, hence the crash.
And thanks NiteFox! Glad you're enjoying it!
+1 to BulletSponge's error, game crashes if I mouse cursor over small hides, game corrupts and has to be repaired if I remove the mod after this
I can not believe you made wombats for this game! They are one of my all-time favorite animals! >_<
Thank you so much for this mod <333
I'm especially excited for pademelons, quokkas, and Rock-wallaby :D
Just wombats and koalas for this mod. The big marsupial mod will be the kangaroos, which I'm kind of dreading 😅 RobertS42
Soooo many species
Is this gonna be like for australian marsupials like how dinornithiformes plus is for new zealandic birds?
I'll take a look and get it fixed in the next round of updates!
And no plans to do dinosaurs, I've got my hands full with recent fauna JaxsonBright
+1 to BulletSponge's error
Seem to be encountering a crash whenever I open the handbook and trying to click on small raw hides. Unsure if it's a mod conflict or not, love the mods! When disabling this mod all works fine.
Error Log
Fixed in 0.1.2 - Thanks! :)
I don't suppose you have plans to do a Dinosour Pack/Packs liek this?
It'll be a while until I get to the Americas with the main packs of plants and animals, but if you want the capybara sooner I have commission slots open tRead
makes me think we need Capybara :)
Thanks Snare, though I'm not sure why that might be the case. This one uses the least unique features and I did a second pass for memory leaks on every art asset since it had so few.
Does it cause that when by itself? I'm wondering if it might have been the final straw for some issue rather than the entire problem.
Also, I hadn't heard about the Lynx aggression being borked, what's up with that? Snare
I LOVE your series of mods. They're wonderful. I noticed that when I installed this one I would get a LOT of periodic hitches. Stopped when I installed this one. I have all your other mods installed, but the only one I have an issue with so far is this one and Lynx animal aggression being borked.
En attendant la prochaine maj, voici la trad fr: fr.json

here's the fr translation while waiting for the next update!

PS: Didn't see any warming. only 2 mods loaded : extraInfo and FotSA-Vombatidae-v0.1.0
Would wombats and related species have round droppings in VS? 🤔
Looks great! However, after starting a new world with it the following kinds of warnings are printed on console:

Vombatus hacketti, Ramsayia and Phascolonus when?
I love wombats! Time to finally head south and build a new home.
diprotodon when ?
YESSSSSSS WOMBATS LETS GOOO THEYRE SO CUTE THANK YOU
Kangaroos will probably come out as an accompanying pack for either the South West Australian or North East Australian Floral Zone mod. This mod's roster will be filled out for one of those two as well, but the three wombats were commissioned to be done early. MRGOOSE
what about kangaroos? are they upcoming?
