Features:
- Adds Heather, Woad, Field Mushroom, Red Wine Cap, Puffball to farmland weeds pool
- Changes probablity of "useful weeds" spawning based on condition and quality of farmland
- Enables scythe to harvest all mushrooms and flowers in-game
Only moist farmlands can grow mushrooms. Chance of spawning flowers/mushrooms depends on farmland fertility. Dry farmlands take 50% chance penalty for growing flowers. Barren farmland will only grow Horsetail
This is the first iteration, some things might be adjusted / changed in the feature.

I have let fields fallow in vanilla in places where mushrooms spawned naturally and, lo and behold, such muchrooms spawned there as well. Could you make a version of this mod where mushrooms are not added to the 'weed' table?

Not gonna lie, this is a thing that could be in vanilla.
It's useful but not by a mile, curious, and you can get really unique stuff.
Sadly I'm sure it won't ever be in vanilla because fungi don't interact that well with one another, they dominate an area with a single type if they can.
