Damnn that's pretty cool idea Lumvik

I really like your mod! I actually wanted to make something similar myself at one point XD.

Have you thought about adding different walking speeds based on the surface material?
For example, walking on grass or dirt could be at normal speed, while on sand, the seraph might move slightly slower.

I'll have it so you can configure value. Dirty_Shisno

A 50% > 5%  range sounds brutal. This idea is very 'solid' and I love it.

Cuddly_Khan That's what I was thinking of doing.

Thanks TheRealFlynn

Ice breaking when you walk on it would be cool! Maybe make it a chance thing also effected by how many other ice blocks are around it. If it's an ice block by itself make it 50% chance, and if it is fully surrounded by ice on all 8 sides make the chance 5%

"where entities, including (there is a word missing here), are influenced by"

love this mod. it's great being slowed where you should be.

Well glad you like it.

My "favorite" Project Zomboid feature now in Vintage Story. Oh yes.

💬 misterandydandyAuthor, 6 days ago

It's should work fine but it won't break your world as the way I coded it.

do you know how compatible this is with the flora zones mods and thew FOTSA animals?.. im thinking if using this as i love the idea but i want to make sure its consistant in the world.  i dont want certain vegitaion to just not do anything and certain entities like say a tiger from fotsa to ignore all vegitation.

Just finished adding the snow code, all I need now is to make some snow shoes.

I will be adding config I'll probably end up using configlib

And for the wind I can try.

💬 TheRealFlynn, Dec 30th 2024 at 7:29 AM

config would be nice. great mod. tysm

also, what about being slowed when winds are really high?

💬 rhino1998, Dec 30th 2024 at 12:16 AM

Is there any config for this mod yet? I poked around a bit but didn't see anything obvious. I was looking for a way to make ridden elk not affected by tall grass (but still affected by leaves)

💬 misterandydandyAuthor, Dec 29th 2024 at 4:19 PM

I like that nice idea.

💬 washaa, Dec 29th 2024 at 3:57 PM

Nice idea! The last comment about snow got me thinking. How about having the amount of snow affecting player speed proportionally, and the player walking not directly on top of snow blocks but at a %depth? I like the idea of having to craft snow shoes to walk on top of deep snow and regain movement speed. If this could be incorporated with something like the Natural trails mod, that would really be cool.

Cross country skis or riding elks could be something to consider too.

💬 Gabitzu, Dec 29th 2024 at 3:44 PM

That is really cool! I'm also very excited to see what other features you plan to add, this mod is great!

💬 misterandydandyAuthor, Dec 29th 2024 at 12:04 PM

Gabitzu
it should work with most mods as long as the foliage doesn't have a collision box and for the other question small plant - grass, brushes, wildvine etc, anything that's got blockmaterial: "Plant", or "Leaves".

It works with Wildgrass.

💬 Michaloid, Dec 29th 2024 at 11:31 AM

Oh my effin god! You're a god for making this, thank you so much!!!!!! Now i can pass through annoying leaves in a forest, (even though it slows me down a bit)

💬 Gabitzu, Dec 29th 2024 at 9:08 AM

Awesome mod! What flora affects the player speed and is it compatible with mods like Wildgrass? Thanks!
