I was playing my server and absolutely needed metal tongs, seeing that there is no currently updated metal tong mod I took it upon myself to make one. If this mod gets enough interest I'll look into remaking the tong model as picking up certain heated items looks a bit strange.

Hats off to you for your efforts! I actually used this mod in every VS playthrough until I came back to 1.19. Gives RPG Item Rarity more reasons to upgrade tools with xSkills, and if you don't intend on patching, don't worry cause I will. :)

I did port the durability over, however I dont think it can actually degrade. Im probably going to recreate the tong to better fit the proportations of the vanilla one so that it will better fit the animations provided by the ItemTongs class. Just wanted to upload this early so I can have a cosy sunday playing vintage story :)
As far as I know, the older tong mod was the only one that adds durability, as well as variants, for tongs. Did you happen to port that over as well?
