Fell the tree. Know the beast. Feel the forest...

Adds a new playable class, the Lumberjack! Lumberjacks are masters of the forest and its trees. Their rugged nature leaves them well suited for a fight, even if it's one they'd rather avoid.

Lumberjacks have 2 exclusive crafting recipes:

The lumberjack bag functions similarly to the mining bag but only holds logs, branches, sticks, tree seeds and resin.

The Lumberjack can also craft firewood into sticks with an axe.

New in 1.1.0

  • Adds class specific dialogue to the 1.20 story location
  • Adds compatiblity with Combat Overhaul. If installed Lumberjacks get the following additional traits:
    • Clumsy Hands
    • Axe Proficiency
    • Halberd Proficiency

Nice, one of the class ideas I had on my wishlist.

Absolutely love this mod. Have been wanting a class that focuses on forestry and that makes tree farming more sustainable, especially for rare trees! The ability to turn firewood into sticks while keeping it locked to a specific class is a good balance.

Nearsighted & Kind make sense for a Lumberjack thematically, and Ravenous isn't an issue once you've established yourself and actually know how to produce food. The traits of this class make you have ot think more about your actions, and pairs well with a Hunter.

Great mod, highly recommend, going to be adding this to my modlists for the foreseeable future.

The ravenous negative perk really hurts your concept in my opinion. The Blackguard, the one with this negative perk, is already regarded as the worst class in the game and nearly no one chooses it because of that negative perk and your bonus of converting Firewood to Sticks can be given to anyone playing if they just download this mod https://mods.vintagestory.at/craftingsticks making your unique perk kind of pointless when you consider the negative perks you introduced to the class it'd be wiser to anyone who mods to just download the previously mentioned mod while retaining the bonuses of their favorite class that isn't plagued by ravenous.

You also describe it with "Their rugged nature leaves them well suited for a fight, even if it's one they'd rather avoid.", but the only combat related part of your class is purely negative, giving them less combat capabilities in a fight, making them weaker than even the Commoner class that has no perks.

I'm not trying to shit on your work, but I do believe it needs to be taken back to the drawing board to reasses the perk choices.
