This really needs to be vanilla

Always wondered for how deep this game is... why this wasn't just in vanilla to begin with.

If i recall this mod is incompatible with substrate (mushroom farming) as sawdust uses the same recipe as sticks in this mod

Thank you so much for this mod! This is exactly what I wanted! a lot of the firewood to stick mods include saws and knives but i just wanted to be ableto craft with axes!

This should be added to vanilla game, lol. And it make even more sense if it drops 4 sticks out of a firewood.

it's unlikely that mod will ever break unless recipe creating syntax changes or related items were removed

Confirmed: Works fine with 1.20.11 (only tested in singleplayer)

Thank you for this mod!! The vanilla game needs this craft bro, doesn't make sense they didn't added this to the vanilla game.
Altough I edited the recipe to receive 4 sticks, because 1 log = 4 firewood so 4 firewood = 4 sticks.

thanks for this, always irked me that only actual small branches could be used as sticks, when in reality the best sticks you can make for almost any purpose but burning are from hewing and froeing down thick branches/logs

Is there any way this can be made for 1.9.8?

You can unpack the file open the json file with text editor and change this part

output: { type: "item", code: "game:stick", quantity: 2 }

to how many sticks you want. Repack and put it in your mods folder.

Great! I've been hoping for a mod like this. just kinda wish that 1 Firewood would split to 2 sticks.
