What this mod currently changes/adds:
- New grape vines: Red and green grapes.
- Generates naturaly in the world, just like other berry bushes.
- Produce real red and white wine from your harvested grapes.
- Distil your very own brandy, or refine it even furter to make Aqua Vitae.
- Safe to add to existing worlds: Will only generate in newly discovered areas.

Just wanted to let you know that the wine from this mod doesn't cure into expanded mod's fine wine as it requires fine to make fine wine.

Hiya. Love this mod. Recently I noticed I wasn't finding any grapes, when I used to be able to find them just fine. After some testing I have found that grapes from this mod do not spawn in the wild when Wildcraft:Fruits & Nuts version 1.3.1 or higher is loaded. Works fine with v1.3.0 of Fruits&Nuts. I'm not sure where I would find appropriate log files that might show any conflicts between the two.
It would be interesting to find wild grape vines instead of already cultivated varieties. Or at least cultivated varieties that have somewhat reverted to the wild state after the apocalypse. IRL you find those climbing all over the place and invading trees, something to a spectacular extent. It would be interesting to have to plant those and clip them frequently to reign them in (or intentionally let them climb on your trees or house for decoration... think grape vine-covered arbour).

It's hard to help when you still haven't posted any of the logfiles, nor do I know what kind of system you're running? Win/Linux?
Despite numerous tests, I've yet to encounter this error or see anything similar on my end. I just can't reproduce this error in any way, shape or form.
The patching is all handeled by the game, it's not something I've got any controll over, other than telling it what to patch and where, the rest is handeled soley by the games mechanics. And the procedure I'm using is well documented in the wiki, and something you will find in many other mods, and even the vanilla game itself. So I'm at a loss for solutions here, I really can't tell you what goes awry on your end. If this was a common issue, I would be flooded with messages to fix it, but so far thats not the case..

It means that the grape vines from this mod, can be propagated (clippings) the same way as any other berry bush when you're using Wildcraft F&N, and yes that mod have grapes, but they were added after I made this mod.
This is an interesting mod, but can you expand on what you mean by Wildcraft F&N compatibility? I thought F&N already had a lot of grapes, does this change their behavior appreciably?

That's really strange, because removing the mod should not impact the spawning of the other bushes at all, as this mod only adds the two variants of grapes to the spawn mechanic that handles all berry bushes, and does nothing to alter the spawning of the vanilla ones in any way. Do you have any other mods that alters the other berry bushes that might cause this?
I'm well aware of the stats being a bit overpowered, and will tune them down considerably in the next version, same with their spawn probability to make them less frequent and plentiful.
Hey, I removed this mod from my server because the grapes are pretty overpowered in stats, but now it seems all berry bushes will not spawn, even in chunks that were not yet explored! What is going on with the spawning issue and how do I fix it?

it has probably already been said but this is a great mod it just needs some tweaking to better match vanilla, it would be nice to see the grapes spawn only in regions with the same conditions as the mediterainian pine and that spoilage is similar to vanilla berries, as they are no they are a little too OP but still a great mod
xXx_Ape_xXx Sooo, sorry for the Delay, I was at FC in San Jose the weekend before adn was wiped, but as it stands No matter what I did I couldn't get it to produce a Log, but now that you have Updated it to 1.20.3 I will go about testing it again with my Mod Order too see if it happens with the new update!
is it possible to expand the wine part of this mod? more diffrent kind of wines and grapes which can ferment for a lot longer time for better quality and stuff.

Thank you for the feedback. I actually agree with you, and will tweak the spawn rate a bit for the next release.
nice mod, one think is that I personally find the grapes spawn way too often making the vanilla-ish food ballance a bit off - its a bit too many of them

Hmm never seen this happen before.. and it's not poiting to any folder, it's to an arbritrary temporary array, and has nothing to do with any folders anywhere on your computer.
Try re-downloading the mod, clear your %Appdata%/Roaming/VintagestoryData/Cache folder for any remnants of the unpacked mod, and relaunch the game.
Also, make sure there are only 1 version of the mod in your mods directory.
If this keeps happening, I will have to look into it.

It looks to be pointing at a non-Existant "Temp" Forlder and I can confirm it via the .Json showing when the File is opened it points too Appdata > Local > Temp which does not exist as far as the game is concerned

No, raisins are dried whole grapes, they have not been mashed or drained of their liquids, hence they have a sweet and tasty interior when eaten. You can make raisins if you have EF installed, that's already added to the mod.

I'm well aware that all the other fruits can be turned into their dehydrated counterparts, but I've decided against making that possible with the mashed grapes, as it really doesn't make any sense to dehydrate what is basically grape skin, stems and twigs/leafs. I'm contempt leaving whats left after pressing the grapes, turned into compost or makeshift animal food, tho the nutritious value can be discussed.
I'm not able to turn dry grape mash into dehydrated grapes. Could you fix that please? Thanks for the great mod, btw!
Edit: Saw your other comment. Are you aware that it works the same way for all the other fruit in Expanded Foods? Turning dry fruit mash into dehydrated fruit which dries into dried fruit, I mean.

Fruit Mash, 1 animal fat and 1 meat could make pemmican instead of raisins :)

You mean drying the mash into raisins? I'm not sure that resounds very well with the squished and broken composition of the mashed grapes, with only the skin, seeds, pieces of stem and branches left 🤔

Hm no, they should not as far as I know. They should spawn with quite the same conditions as other normal berry bushes. You got a screenshot of this?

What versions of the mods are you using? I tested the latest version of my mod with Herbarium_1.3.0 and wildcraftfruit_1.2.2 just now, and can not recreate any crashing when taking clippings.
Great mod! Have an issue with crashing when trying to take a clipping from bush (used alongside herbarium/Wildcraft: Fruits and Nuts) Love this idea. Great work.

Finally! Someone did it! been experimenting in the past few minutes but i'm seeing that with the Expanded Foods mod installed the cooked grape juice (red and wine) which normally is called syrup, it doesnt render the name but just renders "expandedfoods:item-fruity..."
