Latest file for v1.19.8:
kegrevivedagain_v1.1.zip
1-click install
Adds a 50L keg that functions as a more efficient barrel regardless of location. It fixes some issues with the original revival such as being able to handle liquids that rot inside of the container, and scaling it perish speed relating to the barrel.
If either the original creator or the revival creator wish to remove this mod to compile it into a version, leave a comment since it would be nice to have 1 up to date mod rather than 2 out of date mods and 1 currently up to date one :)
If you have any questions feel free to leave a comment and I will get back as soon as I can.

All good! Its exactly what happened when i went to test this mod from a 1 click install :)
Downloaded it to the default mod directory and I forgot to copy it over to my actual mod directory, so when I synced up with my deck and realized kegs weren't in I knew something was up.
Glad you got it working

So here I was thinking 'No way, there's no way I'm stupid enough to forget to install the mod. I've installed dozens if not hundreds of mods and never made such a stupid mistake'
It turns out that yes, I am that stupid. I'm almost impressed with my unfathomable feats of vacuity. That being said, it's installed now and working perfectly! Wine cellars are finally looking good!
Are you sure you installed it correctly? It is set up to appear in the handbook. Only other thing I could think of is in case you just launched a game (generally with a lot of mods) the game will take a minute or two to index all of the handbook recipes. For example if i load into my long term world it takes 30 seconds to a minute to have the handbook actually appear with entries. But I think the error would have to be on your end. Try it in single player on creative. If the keg isn't appearing in the creative menu or the handbook then you definitely don't have the mod enabled on the server.
Let me know how it goes

Hello! I'm trying this mod out on a private multiplayer server, but the item doesn't appear in the handbook. Admittedly I haven't tried it in single player yet, but I thought it might be worth mentioning.
Updated the file so it can now stack them on top of each other. Kegs have transcended physics and exist in their own plane of existence, being able to now suspend themselves in the air and not fall like they would have before I believe. The models do overlap slightly if they are facing the same direction and stacked on top of each other. If someone wants to mess around with the model id be glad to add the changes. Worst case scenario to avoid this is to have the kegs tilted slightly or not worry too much about the model overlapping :) Enigmayster
Well technically the old one worked it just meant that if you tweak any food perish speed settings it doesnt scale at all compared to how barrels do. Figured it would be nice to have it working so I can introduce it to my world since i missed both the original mod launch and the revival's launch.
If you want I can look into it, will be a pretty quick fix since its just one line in the block data json. I would have to see how the model looks with that approach because I am not a huge fan of using the model creator - so I'd rather not have to shrink it down vertically if possible.

Thank you for taking up the mantle and updating this mod! It's such a simple thing, but my homes and bases all felt off without a keg to serve my brews from.
Would it be possible to allow them to be placed on top of each other?
Just a heads up, it currently has an issue i need to look into but I will take a peek at it tomorrow:)
edit: nvm it looks like it was just on my side due to how my VS 1 click installed and how it syncs to my deck - mod should be working fine
