This mod notifies you when someone writes in a player group you belong to. 

The mod creates a config file named ChatPingConfig.json under your VintagestoryData/ModConfig folder. 

In there, it is possible to configure the following options:

    "PingForGeneralChat": true,
  "ChannelsToPingFor": [ // The names of the player groups
    "Proximity"  
  ],
  "Volume": 0.5 // The volume to play the notification at  
Known issues:
* The notification sound is triggered for your messages

This feature does not seem to be working in 1.21.1, unfortunately.

Is it possible you could add a feature that pings when someone in general chat says your username instead of pinging for all messages?
Even better if you added the ability to write a list of keywords that would trigger a ping. This would be very helpful!

I released a new version to support this.

 

Set "PingForGeneralChat": true 

in your ChatPingConfig.json (in ModConfig folder)
