Latest release (for outdated Vintage Story v1.19.4):
lessannoyingdrifters_1.0.2.zip  1-click install

Changes drifters to attack with stones less often and make less noise.

I recommend pairing this mod with Simple Footsteps by WickedSchnitzel so you can still easily hear drifters approaching you!

I think the mod may have been working for a while on 1.20 but on 1.20.5 a drifter will cause the following error to be spammed on the server log, and the server will hang.

22.3.2025 15:33:31 [Error] Exception: Method not found: 'Boolean Vintagestory.API.Common.AiTaskBase.EmotionStatesSatisifed()'.

💬 Blaze_wraith, Aug 6th 2024 at 4:39 PM

recently encounted a potential bug where surface drifters were spawning in daytime

my current mod list btw (gonna disable the mod to see if it fixes the bug)

i can attest to the weird glitch happening with me as well. I only had this mod active so it cant be a bad mod combo

toasthut that's okay. Maybe some freak combination with another mod but i have too many too figure that out so easily.

Shinji170981

that is very strange... I don't know why that would happen sorry..

💬 Shinji170981, Mar 7th 2024 at 3:14 PM

gumwyrm i am very much aware of that but i removed and added the mod several times and every time i added the mod, the boucing was back.

Since i have no log files, i can't really proof that, other than with the footage of my stream.

💬 gumwyrm, Mar 7th 2024 at 3:08 PM

Shinji170981 this mod shouldn't touch any item phys code... as in, it almost certainly is not your culprit.

💬 Shinji170981, Mar 6th 2024 at 9:13 PM

I know this might sound really weird, but when i used the mod on my playthrough, i was unable to pickup items and they kept bouncing on the ground.

I was really unsure, which mod could be responsible, so i deactivated several mods and re-activated them 1 by 1.

Every time i activated this mod, i had bouncing items, which couldn't be picked up.

The game didn't crash, so i can't really provide you with a logfile.

I got it live on stream. If you are interested, i can send you the link to it later, after i uploaded it on youtube.

Because 1.19.4 is a unstable version does this work for 1.19.3 which is stable?
