While making a patch for QOL Crafts I noticed a few bugs.

In the barrel recipe for Betulin, you're missing a } at the end of the file.

In the grubcutlet "transitionablePropsByType" "transitionedStack" code: "rot" needs to be code: "game:rot"

💬 ThatLamer, Mar 2nd at 2:54 AM

The adze has aggressively low durability (only 40 for a forged iron head), but worse it's consumed in the peeled bark recipe for a single peeled bark. 1.20.4, confirmed it wasnt a conflict with other mods in singleplayer.

💬 Cowent1n, Feb 21st at 5:38 PM

Hi there! I love the addons you offered witht his mod! Is there any possibility to patch the mod to have compatibility with Ancient tools by any chance? Or do you have resources I could use to learn how to this?

You have an Adze and bark as common items and it makes it redundant.

💬 Admonitor, Feb 16th at 6:42 PM

@MASIOSARE I think that might not be this mods' fault. try sleeping and see if that makes it go away?

💬 MASIOSARE, Feb 13th at 3:23 PM

I have an issue when I update the mod, Once I started the game after update the mod all the time is very fast in my game.

Im gonna try with the second lastest version to check if is a problem of the mod

💬 WastedWanderer, Feb 11th at 6:53 PM

would love a way to disable some features

💬 Bl0ckparty, Feb 8th at 11:28 PM

Could you please (pretty please?) add the following to the descriptions or to the photos:  How many slots do all the various storage items have?  Do the stone pickaxes work on stone only, or do they work on copper?  How long does the grass peat burn, and what is its top temperature?  How long does the pit kiln take to finish when using grass peat?  Amount of damage items cause and durability if any?  What amount of damage is healed?  Food type and satiety of the grub cutlets and bread bark?  Does bread with birch bark heal?  Does betulin need to be made, or is it an added drop from birch logs?  I am unable to figure out what material you are using to add to the red clay to make fire clay.  Thank you very much!

💬 penguinplus123, Feb 8th at 10:20 PM

could you make it possible to disable some features? i already am using a woodworking mod and would prefer that over this mod's woodworking

💬 Just_Irish, Feb 8th at 2:21 PM

I think there may be a problem with the Adze.
First, there doesn't seem to be a crafting recipe. Looking in the in-game guide shows the Adze, but not an actual process to craft them, and looking within the QoL .zip shows no crafting recipe in the "recipes" folder.
Second, I noticed within the adze.json under "durabilitybytype" that copper is set to 10, tinbronze is set to 200, and iron is set to 20 durability.

Other than that, my server and I are enjoying your mod, so thank you for creating this.

💬 TheChal , Feb 7th at 8:05 PM

Now that's all, I've updated the translation.

💬 TheChal , Feb 7th at 8:01 PM

FlareFluffsune, sorry, I added so much content that I forgot the most important. I fixed it and uploaded a new version.

💬 FlareFluffsune, Feb 6th at 11:28 PM

When did you change the recipie for the first aid kit? I made a large amount of them some time ago and need to craft more and noticed the recipie is different. You also require an adze tool for it now apparently but you have provided no way to craft the adze so the first aid kit is simply uncraftable now.

You've provided no change logs on any of your file uploads to indicate what was changed/added/removed so I don't even know what version to roll back to.

💬 TheChal , Feb 4th at 3:40 PM

KiriRae, Yes, it also seemed to me that qolcrafts had nothing to do with it, I checked, apparently it's a problem with another mod. Maybe the mod somehow changes the rot.

💬 KiriRae, Feb 3rd at 10:04 PM

TheChal

Have some errors in my logs. I have lots of mods so I don't know if they are comatability issues. I just figured I'd let every one know about them and you can decide if you wanna fix them or not.

💬 TheChal , Jan 28th at 7:11 PM

zackadiax24,It's strange that the thatched roof has a different craft, this shouldn't be. I checked everything works as it should.

💬 TheChal , Jan 28th at 7:09 PM

Ourcasula,Unfortunately there is no such option, you can delete recipe files if you really need to

💬 TheChal , Jan 28th at 7:08 PM

IanDig,yes i can

💬 zackadiax24, Jan 28th at 7:07 PM

Tried to craft flax twine and got hay roof tip. maybe flip the recipe upside down?

💬 Ourcasula, Jan 28th at 4:06 PM

Is there config to disable some of the crafts? For example (among other things), I like that the sedimentary rocks can't be used to make pickaxes. Is it possible to true/false whether they're craftable?

Thanks!

💬 IanDig, Jan 28th at 1:56 AM

For future updates, could you please include the mod version number in the filename?

💬 TheChal , Jan 24th at 6:21 AM

hahahahha

💬 TheSinisterRat, Jan 24th at 1:58 AM

The animation was dishonestly stolen from the game

The animation was cleverly repurposed for your needs! It's a sign of creativity to work within limitations and still make a vision work.

💬 TheChal , Jan 23rd at 2:06 PM

TheSinisterRat, The animation was dishonestly stolen from the game :D
Currently, it is not possible to make animations in the game :(
It's good that there is a suitable animation.

💬 TheSinisterRat, Jan 23rd at 1:24 PM

I'm very glad to have helped! Definitely glad the bark in particular is inspiring! Plus, as an avid tea drinker myself I'm certain that vintage story could only benefit from its inclusion, haha! I've also always enjoyed some of the mystical connections tea can enjoy in media, so I imagine a lot could indeed be done with different brews if that was an angle you were interested in broaching.

I look forward nonetheless to seeing whatever you do! And please know that I have absolutely zero expectations of anything I say being implemented, I was just sharing thoughts in the hopes that you may be inspired by them or that you would be able to tell me that they are not in line with the sorts of things you are hoping to do with this mod.

Regarding the adze, that looks most excellent already! Love the animation and the model!

💬 TheChal , Jan 23rd at 1:03 PM

TheSinisterRat,I made an adze, a model, went through the class (it turned out the pickaxe has no class) all that's left is to patch the blocks and work with the bark.

💬 TheChal , Jan 23rd at 6:28 AM

TheSinisterRat,wow my friend, these are very cool ideas, some I can start doing right now and some I can only do after I understand c#. Thank you very much. On a separate note about tea and bark, it's just genius to make teas, maybe you can add warmth, satiety and stability effects to them. And bark based on bark can also be invented a lot, and the most interesting thing is that the bark in the game is already there. The next couple of days I have a work project, but I think if I have time I will try to realize some of the ideas. Thanks again!

💬 TheSinisterRat, Jan 23rd at 1:33 AM

Hello again!

Was brainstorming a bit today and come back with the following ideas for your consideration - tried to keep to the theme of QoL rather than anything too crazy, but hopefully they'll be helpful nonetheless!

  • Expansion to the tools that can accept bone as their handles for the same durability boost the knife and axe enjoy
  • An adze tool for stripping the bark from logs, which could then be used to perhaps grind into bread in the case of some barks like birch or pine, but more importantly the bark could be combined with a knife to create wooden fletching to be used in place of feathers for arrows. Such arrows would gain the stability bonuses of regular fletched arrows, but perhaps they could have a higher chance to break so as to preserve preferring feathers?
  • Perhaps the use of specific barks as a tea that can be combined with grass as an alternative dirty bandages? (I thought that the dirty bandages are a bit easy to make, so perhaps an extra processing step could be beneficial? Depends on if it fits your vision of course!) Bark tea could be imbibed for a small amount of healing, say 0.5 HP?
  • Perhaps allow arrowheads to be used in a crucible in order to melt them down alongside nuggets?
  • The use of tallow/fat in place of honeycombs for the creation of candles in the cooking pot

Please do let me know if these suggestions are on the right track or if I am missing the mark entirely. Nonetheless, I love the new mod page - the pictures and gifs are a lovely touch!

💬 TheSinisterRat, Jan 22nd at 3:38 PM

My pleasure entirely - loving things thus far and am more than happy to help. Will report any bugs I come across!

Will be sure to get back to you regarding any content ideas, for sure! Sounds like a difficult endeavor, so good luck in your learnings!

💬 TheChal , Jan 22nd at 3:12 PM

TheSinisterRat,If you have any ideas for adding content, I'd love to hear them. I'm currently learning C# to create my own subject classes, all the guides are completely outdated and I have to learn everything by trial and error.

💬 TheChal , Jan 22nd at 3:08 PM

TheSinisterRat, i fixed the bugs, thanks for the comment. I tried to make the mod as friendly to vanilla as possible. It would be nice if such comments as yours became much more. Then such stupid bugs will be much less. <3

💬 TheSinisterRat, Jan 22nd at 2:53 PM

Hello! Thank you for this lovely little mod - my friends and I are greatly enjoying it!

Just wanted to bring to your attention that unless I have done something wrong when I was poking through, the flint chisel does not appear to have a recipe and the dense dry grass chest is unable to be crafting in place of the normal variant. Admittedly, I haven't checked the files for the chisel yet, but concerning the dense chest I fixed it by making it so that the recipe requires a piece of clay in the centre.

One way or another, thank you for your work! Immensely appreciated!

💬 TheChal , Jan 22nd at 12:59 PM

1.0.5
-added peat with grass admixture
burning temperature 1100 degrees Celsius.
It can be used everywhere and even in pitkiln.
(As I was tortured to patch game files for this (I wanted to strangle myself))
-fixed bugs
I need your ideas, requests, etc.

💬 TheChal , Jan 19th at 5:12 PM

LunaGore, фотки в целом не очень отражают реальность, так как я их брал чисто для наглядности.
Но в моде не будет кастомизации, потому что настроек нечего, изменяемых результатов почти нет, а если и есть, то лучше оставить оригинальные.

💬 LunaGore, Jan 19th at 4:21 PM

Is this mod configurable? I'm already using other mods such as In Dappled Groves that allows firewood -> sticks if that is what you mean by being able to craft sticks.

Also could you label each screenshot as to what item is corresponds to as well, please.

💬 TheChal , Jan 19th at 9:35 AM

1.0.4

-added 5 types of stakes (damage increases with metal)
-added 4 types of chests (more slots, the better the metal)
-added flint chisel
-added chests of dry grass (two types - normal and dense)

-changed some recipes to favor vanilla.
-fixed minor bugs

💬 TheChal , Jan 18th at 6:08 AM

1.0.2 -test

1.0.3

-flint saw and flint saw blade added
-added recipe for flint saw blade

💬 TheChal , Jan 18th at 3:53 AM

Write comments and logs on bugs, as well as you can write ideas, I will try to study and do.
