Items pressed from the fruit press are specialy attributed. Either wait for a solution from the dev to change the way fruit press attributes processed items or maybe find a way of allowing those attribute to be part of an item that goes into the trough. That's the only way to make it work I guess.

Currently this mod cannot work as is. Mash gotten from the fruit press cannot be added to a trough. Vanilla is supposed to allow the use of pressed apple mash to a large trough. However, even un-modded the mash cannot be added.

I will be updating this mod when the game has the base fucntionallity is working.

If anyone figures out how to use mash from the press, let me know what the fix is.

Nevermind, scratch that. The problems seems to be with the fruit mash itself.

Okay, it looks like the problem is with the chached files for some mods becoming corrupted. 

Fix:
   Exit Vintage Story.
   Go to %appdata%\VintagestoryData\Cache\ and delete the unpack folder.
   Load back into your save.
   Pick up and destroy any previously effected troughs.
   Make and place new troughs.

If you don't have the resources to make new troughs, these commands will give you replacements
  /giveblock game:trough-large X
  /giveblock game:trough-small X
  X is the number of troughs you need of that size.

Changes made to the vanilla trough-large.json and through-small.json files may also prevent the mod from working. If the above actions do not fix the problem, you may need to roll back the files to their unedited state and try the fix again.

Let me know if the problems persist after you've tried these changes.

Well, good news: I'm able to reproduce the errent behavior.
Bad news: I don't know what is causing it.

I'll take a bit for me to fidgure out the fix but I am working on it now that I can reproduce it. Odd thing is, I've had a few other modders try to reproduce the error and they have not been able to.

Same Problem for us.
It shows the Icon ingame above the Through. But you cant put the Mash in them.

Redownloading and reinstalling didn't change anything.
I was in survival mode and tried it with red currant and blueberry mash.
I have no idea why it won't work for me.

There are different types of mash, depending on how much fruit you press. The mash from the creative menu is also different and I can't stack any of the varieties. Maybe that's the cause? (Tried with apples)

I can't seem to reproduce the problem. so I don't know what to suggest besides delete the mod, the cached version in the VintageStoryData/Cache folder and try redownloading and reinstalling the mod.

Yes, nothing happens when I try to put mash into the troughs.
I had a stack of 10 in my hands when I tried it, and did that with both, the large trough and the one for chicken. Also both were empty.

Hmm. What exactly is it that you are experianceing? It sounds like you have an empty trough, mash in hand and go to place the mash in the trough but nothing happens. Is that correct? Which size trough are you trying to place it in? Do you have enough in hand? You need at least 2 mash in hand for a small trough and 4 in hand for a large trough.

It's still not working for me.
I'm playing on 1.16-rc2. There are no error messages in my log files. It just won't do anything.
I also tested it in a new world without other mods.

Okay. I was able to get it working and updated. The new version should work. Let me know if it doesn't.

Which version of VS are you playing? The mod was built on and for 1.16.rc2. Are there any error messages in your log files?

I like that idea.
Unfortunately I can't put the pressed mash into the troughs.
Are there any mods preventing this from working?
