Latest release (for outdated Vintage Story v1.20.0 - v1.20.4):

This texture pack modifies the ore texture resources for every ore in the game (even those that were never implemented), drawing giant and bold (if a bit cartoonish) crystals on the surfaces of ore blocks.

This solves many problems, such as:
- Too many black or dark gray ores that are very hard to distinguish between without tooltips
- Ores that camoflague too well with their host rock, or having too small of particle size, making them difficult to spot
- Native Silver and Gold being too hard to spot amongst Quartz
- Peridot being too hard to spot amongst Olivine

This was a quick and dirty resource pack, mostly for personal use.

Now compatible with Geology Additions and Ores-a-Plenty!

Psychomor Good catch! I set the version string in the modinfo.json to 1.20.0+. Really, this pack is rather version-agnostic (or at least, very flexible). I fixed it, though I don't think it should have any effect on the pack's function.

Helo. Have this [Warning] [largecrystalores] Dependency 'game': Failed parsing version string '1.20.0+' at index 7: Expected BUILD_METADATA identifier, found end of string (best guess: 1.20.0)
in main log file. Stay save.

The big thing was Geology Additions compatability. :P

Might be working on an update. Flint has been darkened, olivine is more olive to make peridot stand out more. But also, something else. Something big.

lmao this is adorable.

Can't say this is silly since it's supposed to be an accessibility mod, and it does its job well.
I do prefer the juicy ores one tho, having the ore protuding from the block makes it already more visible.

Thanks for making this.   I have cataracts and these are much easier to see.

The graphics look more like something out of Minecraft than they do for VS.

This is just a Texture Pack. It doesn't do anything to the ores but change their textures.

This was a quick and dirty pack. I had no intention of making it consistient with VS art style, as the point of it was to make ores stand out. While I agree that it would look better if redone in that manner, it would be an enourmous time sink for something I personally don't see as important. At the end of the day, this mod was mostly made for my own purposes. If I were to change anything, I would change a few textures so certain ores stick out even more in certain rocks.

I like the idea of this, especially for some ores like Zinc which are pretty obnoxious currently to find (e.g. in Andesite). I think the graphics could use another pass though, either to make the art a bit higher res or bring it more in-line with VS art style. Don't think it looks bad, but it's a bit simplistic or different from VS' aesthetic.

This sounds really cool, and the graphics aren't bad, though I think they would benefit from some roughing up to make it look more like they are in the rock than on the rock. but, what does this mod do? is it a guarantied drop of a crystalized chuck of the ore? is it just a level above bountiful? does it drop gemstones? any amount of info besides just the photos would be wonderful as I'm hopeful to use this mod if it's any of the ideas I mentioned.
