Smoothly changes third-person camera positions, improving player immersion in the world
This mod modifies the native camera function from vintage story, and probably might break in new updates.
Calculation for the camera position is quietly simple so no performance can be impacted.
Immersive Third Person Camera is open source project and can easily be accessed on the github, all contents from this mod is completly free.
If you want to contribute into the project you can access the project github and make your pull request.
You are free to fork the project and make your own version of Immersive Third Person Camera, as long the name is changed.

KaZlos Fixed
Noticed in 1.20 pre13 that left and right arrowkeys move the camera forward and back instead, the axis must've changed
SaltyWater Nope
Hey, Does it work for the second thir person camera? the one that rotates around the player?
RogueRaiden Absolutely. The vanilla camera behavior in third person actually switches you to first person if the camera is too close to the player model. You can test this by building a ladder surrounded by blocks and moving the camera around in the different viewpoints, there's a specific point when the vanilla third person camera "snaps" back to first person, and that same point is where the camera clips through with this mod.
came here to say the same as Jonathonsky. i believe its from what makes the camera offset to the right of the character, it pushes the camera through the wall and allows you to see down through the blocks
Unfortunately with this mod if you stand in front of a wall and move your camera around you will eventually hit a specific angle where blocks turn invisible and function as an xray of sorts, breaking immersion. It happens not when looking at the wall directly but when you are starting to look away. You get a side view of xray.
is there away to maintain the crosshair in third person?
sometimes it's hard to interact with objects like chests doors etc without knowing where u looking at exactly
Why it is set to server side in modinfo?
aw cant work in multi ;;
I need this back so badly
is this a mod in the first screenshot for carrying lamb like this?
Hi, I can confirm that I have the same issue. Just bought the game, this is the only mod I installed. I tried creating a new world and I tried using an existing save, I also tried on a dedicated server with only this mod installed but no matter the new camera doesn't activate.
I think the problem for the peoples that the mod is not working is because you are entering in a server without the mod added, so the mod will not load because vintage story only will load the same mods as the server
Does this mod start automatically? Because for me it looks vanilla still. And i have no mods that should conflict with it...
I was loooking for a mod like this a lot of time, thx
Unfortunately, 2 mods that change the camera position wouldn't work together, it's either one or the other
If bullseye mod change the camera position probably is overwriting this mod
I'm not sure if there're any special steps to making this work, but it doesn't do anything for me. I'm unsure if the Bullseye mod is conflicting with it.
@DanaCraluminum not yet
@LyCH_OS the mod that might break this is some mod that change the function "GetCameraMatrix" from VintagestoryLib.dll, in vanilla version of 1.19.7 is working
@Bobosaw is not a mod, is just creative mode with the goat entity
Hey man! Sorry for the ignorance, but I was wondering if you carrying that baby sheep was a mod or not. Thanks!
This doesn't seem to work on 1.19.7, or it may be incompatible with one or more mods I have.
Active mods pastedbinned.

Is it configurable?
