This is intended for less hardcore players/servers who don't want to have their fruit tree cuttings to die as frequently as they do in vanilla. This mod does not change the growth rate of fruit trees from vanilla.
Healthier Trees aims to make the vanilla fruit trees less likely to keel over and die. This changes the survival chance of fruit tree cuttings from their fairly low vanilla values of 40 to a 70 percent chance to survive. Grafting has been changed from 50 to 80 to match the change in values as well.
Includes support for Wildcraft: Fruits and Nuts!

I don't think I will use this mod since I seldom plant more than 2 or 3 fruit trees, but as someone that plants trees for a living. I can attest to the fact that 80% or 90% success rate is far closer to reality for a planted and maintained domesticated tree. In fact, we seldom lose more than 2 a year out of all the trees we plant for clients. I can't speak about game balance, I'm no coder, so I have no idea why the death rate was set so high by the developers.
cool mod, anything else that did something like this hasnt been updated in quite a while, thank you.
Some mods I feel go into the extremes when making adjustments, this tweek feels right, I always though 60ish% was a better fit for trees. Thanks for your time on this. I would like to see Vanilla make base 40% and every better grade of soil bumps it some random amount 5~10% and then have mechanics ingame that make you produce better nutrtious fruit and more of it, like in real life.
