Adds various gameplay additions for hardcore gamers
- ⛏ Obtain poppy seeds from wild golden poppy plants! (by putting the plant into the crafting grid)
- 🌱 Grow your own poppy plants! Enhance your garden! (They do count as flowers for bees, at their last stage)
- 🔥Cook poppy seeds in a firepit!
- 🍪 Bake poppy buns! They are very tasty and provide more nutrition than bread! ❤️
- 💧Mix cooked poppy seeds with water in a barrel to create poppy solution
- 💉Assemble a makeshift syringe
- 💚 Create poultice solution with poultice (honey-sulfur) + water and fill in the syringes for potent healing injections!
Note: When you craft an injection using a "used" syringe - each injection may have additional negative effects. Sterilize used syringes with fire in a firepit or with an alcohol-soaked bandage in the crafting grid.

This is not the type of hardcore I was expecting. Why not just poppy farmer?

Are you on 1.18? They've made changes in 1.19 which I still need to handle. But 1.18 never had any errors

It says a lot that my initial thought upon realizing this is a mod about opium is "cool, but can you use it as a painkiller?" I realize there isn't really a pain mechanic in VS, but now that I think about it, a mod where the player has to deal with chronic pain would be very unique and cool. Since that's what I associate opium with, a painkiller for people who have chronic pain...

They are kinda very rare, yeah, as far as I know
I think I will add poppies and/or seeds to the traders, to make it a bit easier
Will probably do it this weekend
We have been struggling to find the poppys in the wild anywhere on our server. Is there any particular things to know about locating them?

I have reduced the amount of intoxication on the 'spoilered' part, should be 10 times weaker (still cumulative, so the more you use it (consecutively) the worse it will become)

also check out this HUD https://mods.vintagestory.at/extendedhudinfo - it shows intoxication level, so you would know how bad is it hehe

Got a tip for you on how to reduce that effect to almost 0 after you got it - Drink berry juice ;) (or probably any other juice will work as well). So basically keep some juice on your hotbar before using it and you will be alright
As to glitching through the floor and showing you the caves... Well that is definitely not cool, I did not encounter that, need to take a deeper look for myself then, thanks!

My 'spoilered' seraph was so unwatchable for so long I ended up using Creative mod to elevate him to a great height and then drop him into his next life. Also, not sure if it's intentional or unavoidable, but when my seraph was having his moment, his vision was glitching through the floor and showing me where tunnels and caves were. Now to plant up a slew of poppies...

Actually nvm, I see a bug in the code that made stage 3 not to give enough seeds :( will deploy the fix asap

1) plant yields 1 seed (actually 0 or 1) only if it's not mature (stages 1 and 2). At stage 3 it yields 12 (+- 6) and it will also stay mature and blooming at stage 3 (if you want to be using for bees for example).
2) Sure, I will think of it when I have time to work more on the mod, thanks for the feedback :)
This is fun but a couple of things I was wondering about.
One, is the drop rate correct for the poppies if you grow them in a greenhouse. 1 plant yields 1 seed, meaning you either replant for decoration or use up those seeds to make...stuff.
Two, the 'spoiler'. Maybe an option for a coloured screen instead, as the default reaction is very motion sickness inducing. Doesn't matter as I won't be using it as is, but maybe something for the future?
