As far as I can tell this mod functions totally fine on 1.22.2.
everything spawns correctly even with other world generation mods and also theres no issues with any of the models.
Feel free to make new worlds and use this if you want to. Ik I will be
I'm not seeing any comments or answers from the mod author on any of these for quite a while. Although 4 of the animal mods did get updated to 1.22,
I'm getting discouraged if these mods are gone I will miss them more than any I can think of.
This set of mods and the animal mods made VS truly feel alive.
It's hard to imagine playing without them now that I have lived in a world as beautiful as these mods create.
Author allowing I hope someone picks them up.
The author answered on Discord that he is on week 10 out of 28 of doing 80 hour work weeks due to real life stuff, so they can't devote time to updating these mods for now but they haven't abandoned anything. Just priorities.
Thank you for the info.
I hope life goes well for him, he gave me a lot of joy.
But we all need to get our priorities straight.
VS first or course.
Family next maybe if we like them at least.
way way last is work/bills.
We need to fight for our right to vintage story :)
hope this gets an update soon <3 (and all the others xd)
so far it works fine on 1.22.2 but there could still be issues i havent encountered
hoping the floral zones get updated along with the bovinae mod (I love beef), love your mods
Does this mod replase vanila bambo
is expanded food going to ever get the patch that was apperently supposed to been made ?. Im talking about the one where u said so to Tagraa, it would be awseome...
Unfortunately flowering trees and pink petals falling would require code which we are trying to avoid to minimize down time of this mod whenever there are major updates so folks don't lose their worlds. If those features become modable we might accept a commission for more plants in this mod Avatarious
Thanks omee No plans to make it foodshelves compatible on our end, I'm doing a ton of maintenance as is and don't want to add more but I'd add compatibility patches folks send my way
hoi! love your mods, and all the foodstuffs you can forage in the game! makes exploring so much more rewarding. was wondering if there's any chance for compability for food shelves (eg. kudzu flour could go in a flour bag?) https://mods.vintagestory.at/foodshelves - no worries if not, just figured id ask! 'v')9
Thank you for replying. Is there any way I could ask for you to consider adding in a beautiful japanese style cherry blosom tree and have possibly neet affects like pink petals falling, the ability to attach lanterns or paper lanterns to it or something like that? It would just be nice to see one of these like: https://ph.pinterest.com/pin/13299761395775485/ or https://ph.pinterest.com/ideas/minecraft-blossom-tree/908771522436/
KUDZU! YES!
I'd considered it and given I'm already doing 2-4 months of maintenance a year deciding against it. A few folks have been working on comptaibility behind the scenes but I'm not sure where their progress is at Taagraa
Would compatibility with Expanded foods ever be considered for the floral zone series?
Correct, no cherry blossom trees. We'd discussed it as one of the 30 plants at some point but decided it would be redundant with the base game cherry tree Avatarious
No Cherry Blossom trees?
I'm not currently, but can add that to the bug log! AzuliBluespots
Hey, are you using Crowdin for the translations? I noticed one of the "pickled sponge gourd" entries in there is lacking an s in sponge. So it's "pickled ponge gourd".
I can implement that yeah, I'll make a note for the next update Simori
hi! I enjoy your mods, but is it possible to have the harvested Kudzu's hitbox be smaller than the non-harvested? I find myself struggling when there are a bunch of kudzus next to each other
Tentharchitect
It's caused by missing vertexes in the shape file, needed for pruning, hardcoded in the BlockBerrybush class.
Interesting, not sure what could be causing that but I'll put it on the bug list Zokora
When Chineese Wolfberries are placed near a populated skep (bees) I'm getting the following exception spammed when they are loaded (both have been in the same chunk).
Bushes that are not within 4 blocks of a skep do not generate this exception.
Game version: 1.21
Mod version: 1.0.13
I'm not sure if it is relevant/related, but we do have the FromGoldenCombs-1.21-v1.9.1 mod installed.
Here is the corresponding file in vssurvivalmod: https://github.com/anegostudios/vssurvivalmod/blob/master/Block/BlockBerryBush.cs#L72
Put it on the bug list Nebux
So the bamboo in this mod is almost all exclusively colder climate spawning than the base game bamboo, if you are seeing the bamboo from this mod you need to go south. This mod adds plant life from certain irl regions, but it doesn't outright block the spawning of the base game or other plants. In the case of trees, it dilutes the spawn pool some, but base game bamboo has a really high weight and still spawns Marcelane
I'm loving the series, I think I have most of your mods installed on my private server in fact! But, I was curious - recently I was trying to find the vanilla bamboo, or a biome the resembled the vanilla biomes where the bamboo spawns, but I couldn't find any. I know the mod says it adds to the regions, so by proxy does that mean that the vanilla bamboo shows up less? I enjoyed the density of the bamboo forests before, but I'd miss the variety of this mod, so I'm a bit torn, haha.
BUG: black and golden bamboo leaves don't get destroyed when the tree is cut and when cut manually they drop bamboo pieces
Looks like I need to restrict what claypots are allowed in that recipe due to folks injecting things into the game domain. I'll add that to the bug list neobit
Yeah i get same errors as guy below, also something seems to conflict with BetterRuins
Errors on the game start.

You'll need to wait actual game time until the beehive recalculates the surrounding flowers. The beefeed attribute is what determines the use in feeding bees, and I just tested to confirm the Chinese Bellflowers work FriedFlounder
If it still isn't after half an hour in game, maybe check to see if you have any mods that alter plant code
Hello! Love this series of mods! Well done! I noticed something odd though when I tried to use Chinese Bellflowers around a beehive to increase the available number of flowers in the area. The hive did not register them at all, even after 2 relaunches. It looks like many of the flowers in this mod, (and possibly in the rest in the series) seem to have their material marked as "plant" instead of "flower". Which makes them invalid as flowers for bees to use. Which is sad because they look like such beautiful flowers, and I'd love the fill my bee garden with them. Is there any way to change their material to flower? Thanks in advance!
I understand that the poop principle can be complex to set up, but I thought it might be just for this species, as a kind of caffeinated easter egg 😂
So one can actually make that post digested coffee with most mammals and we intend to add coffee to the floral zone they are native to. That said, unless the base game adds poop and a way of assigning unique poop based on what they ate, I don't intend to implement that. Others are welcome to make an add-on mod though TheDude
Tentharchitect Flish
Please please make a partnership with this mod and more particularly the Asian palm civet and Floral Zones: East Asiatic Region, to create the very weird coffee "Kopi Luwak", you add a wild species of coffee tree so that when fed only berries of this coffee tree civets melt droppings that then washed, roasted and ground can make a coffee that allows to have a boost of speed and damage and why not a reverse debuff 5min later, it would be too cool
Thank you kindly Marrmy! I really appreciate comments like that :D
Nothing to report, just wanting to a thank you to both you and Flish for creating such amazing content at no cost! Loving it!
That is actually so awesome. Fantastic timing, man. Cheers!
So I was going to say this is one or two of three chronic bugs we've had with leaves not falling, but gave it a look again and solved it. We still have two other outstanding bugs with leaves not falling but one of those may simply be a enforced limitation on tree size. Should have a fix posted shortly Vigilance
Any plans to try to fix the canopy persisting after cutting some of these modded Oaks/maples? Wildcraft trees don't seem to have that issue (that I've noticed) and it's quite bad on some of your Oaks, since they're pretty sizeable. I think some of your other trees don't have this issue, just the versions of vanilla ones, but I'd have to test to confirm.
Fixed!
Tentharchitect
Just a heads up if you didn't have Discord on - FZ East Asiatic 1.0.7 (latest) is mislabeled as 1.0.6
Thanks for the bug report, will look into fixing the sand destruction
BUG: golden bamboo destroys the sand block that is planted on, also the seedling drop is a bit too high
Thanks, though the Japanese pine is an alterate shape and set of climate spawn conditions of the base game pine. Some of our plants reuse the base game assets if they are close enough to the same species, and we want to have them spawn in a novel location or with the Biomes mod PRinceMiilk
im not sure if its a bug or im just blind but i cant find the japanese pine not even in creative mode other than that im loving your flora and fauna mods
Yes, plants are on world gen. If you add plant mods to an existing save, the plants will only generate in new chunks, while animals will spawn in new and existing chunks
New to Vintage story but added your animal mods (you said run time on those so im assuming they will spawn on my current save), now with the plant ones those are on world gen im assuming?
Yeah modded leaves are weird. There seems to be inconsistent outcomes with the leaf decay system in mods. Xredrago
Got an odd "bug"? Just fell a couple of Amur Maple (honestly I didn't notice they were, the log says maple and I never look at the leaves) and instead of the whole trees (separated by 30 blocks) going down, the canopy was intact while the logs dropped. Normal reactions from any other trees when felling, just poofing out of existence while exploding into drops...
Normal, at some point we need to go through and patch all of them into the troughs but it's a bit of a process and if we aren't careful it can cause incompatibility issues or crashes. It's on the to-do list
berry and fruit mash will not work in troughs is this normal or a bug?
While I understand its not made to be compatible for 1.20, this and Neozeylandic have naming issues with ~ after the name and it causes crashes. They're all in the texture files iirc, sorry I meant to take notes but forgot.
It doesn't conflict with Expanded Foods but nobody has gone through and made all the foods compatible yet
Are the Floral Zone series of mods compatible with Expanded Foods? I already use FotSA, and saw these and I'd love to use them if they are!
Tentharchitect
Please add the Japanese Redwoods (aka Suji) as an alretative souce of redwood lumber!
Thanks in advance!
Nice, thank you, Tentharchitect!
Thanks you both! You should get some plants from around 60 to 0 degrees latitude, with the majority of them occuring between 45 and 20 degrees latitude
Wonderful, thank you as always, Tentharchitect! Can you tell us the approximate latitude range for this set of flora?
Yay! Beautiful work as always, the world is filling out more & more nicely with each one of these ♡
Kudzu does regrow, though it uses the same class as cattails and papyrus so it doesn't show the exact time. It should be less than 9 days
Question, does the Kudzu regrow after a while? If so it doesn't show how long it takes.
