Vintage Story port of Electrical Age from minecraft with its own unique spin on the formula to better fit the gameplay of VS.

Right now it's very much in the extremely early stages of development. Looking for developers to help on the project.

Notable features from ELN:

Streetlights: Not only do they provide lots of light, they prevent enemy spawns
Flashlights: Handheld powered item which produce light forwards of the player
Experimental Transporter: Personal teleporters that run on high amounts of power
Treetap: Obtain resin from trees (you'll need lots of it for wires)
Fully-Fledged Electrical Simulator: Powered by the SPICE MNA
Flywheels and Motors: Improved Mechanical Power system
Realistic Signalling: Real chipsets leveraging the power of SPICE
Cute pests: That feed off your electrical grid and reproduce endlessly
Convenient machines: Macerators, Electrical Stoves, Arc Furnaces
Powered Armor: Graphite armor is lightweight and can completely negate damage at the cost of power
Powered Equipment: Electrical tools which operate fast and use power instead of durability
Auto-Miner: Dig into the ground to extract ore out of the ground automatically
X-Ray Machine: Consume large amounts of power with a handheld GPR to find areas of higher density (ores)
Real life Integration: Control an in game block through real-life sensors and visa-versa
Pylon-based power distribution: Power poles to run across the server
Wireless Signalling: Wi-Fi enabled radio transceivers which get disrupted by lightning
Powered Turrets: Lazer-armed turrets which shoot at monsters, players, or animals
Vanilla Balanced: But don't think there isn't some extremely powerful stuff in there


Expansions to look forward to from ELR:

Open modteam: People can join, contribute, and leave as they please
Easy of Implimentation: Leveraging the ease of VS programming
Expandibility: Support for unofficial addons to expand the mod
Eldritch Lore: Expanding the story of VS, explaining the anachronisms
Online Trading: Provide traders a computer, power and internet to see their offers remotely
Mod Integration: Designed to be used alongside other mods in modpacks
Tin Cans: The cool thing about tin cans is that they're infinitely recyclable
Air Fryer: Clearly you don't have one of these in your base



Ambitions for long-term ELR development:

Space Travel: Build a rocket and gather materials from asteroids (inspired by Advanced Rocketry)
Chemistry: Use atomic science to convert items into their atmomic components and reconstruct them (inspired by Minechem)
Nuclear Reactors: Build nuclear reactors to produce power and breed elements to create useful RTGs (inspired by Nuclear-craft)
Alternate Dimension: Use your teleporter to go into a different world with harder mechanics, for grandmasters (inspired by Mystcraft)
Advanced Logistics: Through the use of advanced computers, store large amounts of items automatically (inspired by AE2/Logistics Pipes)
Universal Exchange: An ultimate goal; unlock the secrets of univeral transmutation, turning any item into any other item (inspired by Project E)

Shelving this was 100% the right move to make. Probably going to take a year off before starting it up again.
There's a lot of little fundementals that I need to pick up before taking on such a monumental task.

I am glad you arn't stressing yourself over this, I have really been enjoying your small QoL mods you have been making instead :)

Plus your Class Mod, being a plant, super unique idea that you actually made come true. You should be proud ^_^

Project has been shelved as it's taking too much development time from other mods and is severely impacting my mental health.
As you can imagine, this is a monumental project and it's going to take a long time before I even have something I can show.
