Latest file for v1.18.15:
dressful_1.6.0.zip
1-click install
There are so many fantastic clothing pieces that sadly go unappreciated due to practical armor covering it all up. Some of the armor sets are gorgeous, but we all know that the everyday vintage player mostly runs around in their admittedly finest gambeson armor.
Feature: With Dressful enabled, all players' equipped armor sets are hidden, allowing you to appreciate your own and others' impeccable sense of fashion. This mod is only required on the client, so you can use it on your favorite server.
Feature: Use hotkey (default key: Ctrl+P) to toggle between hiding/showing equipped armor.
Fixed: hairstyles and facial hair are now shown. Other players' armor are now immediately hidden/shown when hotkey is pressed.
This is an initial release. Currently a few head and face clothing pieces are hidden by having a helmet equipped, and similarly hairstyles can get... truncated. I am looking into workarounds for these. In the meantime, get creative! Maybe it'll be nice temporarily flattening that mohawk down; or cutting that ponytail off - until you (by unequipping your helmet, sorry!) decide to glue it back on.
Big thanks to RoxTheBean 💗 for helping to test the mod in multiplayer.

I will be taking a look at updating to 1.19 soon-ish. Unfortunately the API for rendering gear shapes was changed, and I'm also 99% sure there is a major memory leak that I can't get around without stripping some functionality.
will this be updated for 1.19?
1.19?
Constantly crashing when using the default hotkey on servers without Dressful installed.

Would it be possible to add an option to hide backpacks?
I absolutly love this mod btw, keep it up!
Awesome mod, thank you for letting me help 😊

Thank you for letting me know! I had not tested it on an ad-hoc server setup so had no idea it didn't work when the mod itself was installed on a server. I have uploaded version 1.6.0 that should fix this. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Having a similar issue as McTaco on my LAN server. Sister is hosting, both have v1.5.0 installed, I try to join and it tells me I am missing the mod. I press to install the mod, it detects the mod and enables it, attempts to join and it gives me the same message. Loops eternally.
It works fine on single player, not LAN server so far!

Apparently other players' armors are not hidden... Sorry about the misinformation. Will look into this
Other players' armor is hidden. With the toggle key, it doesn't immediately force an update on other players' shapes however.
Until I can add this, a temporary workaround is to have other players' equip and unequip an armor piece to update their shape, or if you really want, force an update with [.reload shapes] client command.
Edit: Fixed it
yeah, a universal mod with a hotkey toggle that each player could apply to themself would be amazing. able to show off, to others, your armor or clothes properly.
YES YES YES YES FINALLY SOMEONE DID A MOD FOR THIS YEEEESSSSSS
Aeonsteel
I have released a new version with an added toggle (hotkey: Ctrl+N by default). I will look into making a version for hiding specific pieces in the coming days - I'm not sure yet whether to prioritize this or attempt to fix the hairstyles/masks/hats getting squished first :P
McTaco
I'm not sure what you mean. This is a client-side mod, not required on server.
RogueRaiden
I have tested on my own private server that it works for me, but being a friendless loser I have not yet verified that it hides everyone's armor - but yes it should hide everyones' armor. Other players will see your armor without the mod installed themselves. Would you prefer a server version that controls what each player sees for themself and everyone else? It might be a bit of a larger undertaking to sync all the server settings between players but should probably be doable.
since this is client side, on a server i would assume the player will see no equiped armor on anyone and everyone else will see the players armor like normal?
Getting a notification about missing one mod to join the server. Download mod, repeat. Cant ever join server
Could you potentially make it a toggle and/or make it so you can choose which armor slots go invisible?
