A continuation of the original compass mod by Goxmeor.

Features
Compasses!
- Magnetic Compass
- Points north.
- Crafted with 1 fired clay bowl, 1 stick, and either 1 magnetite nugget or 1 metal scraps.
- Origin Compass
- Points to the world's default spawn at time of its creation.
- If world spawn is later changed, the compass will not point at the new location.
- If world spawn has a radius, it points to the center of it.
- Crafted with 1 Magnetic Compass and 2 Temporal Gears.
- Points to the world's default spawn at time of its creation.
- Relative Compass
- Points to the location where it was created.
- Can only be crafted in low stability areas, as measured at sea level. (configurable)
- Crafted with 1 Origin Compass and 2 Temporal Gears.
- Seraph Compass
- Points to the player who first picks it up (usually the one who crafted it).
- Does not track an offline player.
- No crafting recipe yet. Feel free to add your own!
Mechanics
- Active temporal storms interfere with compasses
- Approaching temporal storms interfere with compasses
Storage
- Compasses can be held in your offhand.
- Compasses can be placed on the ground with other ground-storables.
- Compasses can be placed on shelves.
- Compasses can be placed in display cases.

Greetings! I'd like a mod similar to this one here. The item would tell the player their elevation. This would be something harder to obtain than the compass but still not insanely difficult. Similar to your more advanaced compasses, this elevation device would have an upgrade to one that could tell the player all 3 coordinates but this would be much harder to acquire.
If you're looking for suggestions for the seraph compass recipe, I'd suggest it be crafting a Relative Compass with any knife to signify pricking your finger and giving the compass a drop of blood. That's what I'll be going with, personally.
If I knew how to mod better I'd probably do something like how you can hold a gear in one hand and a knife in the other to sacrifice some health and gain stability.
Edit: Was unable to test if it works in hand if someone else has it, but seraph compasses do not appear to work correctly on the ground.
Should be working on 1.19 now and the needles should be in the right place. Please let me know if there are any issues.

I have a suggestion, that could help me and others while using this mod
You see, I usually play on wilderness survival, so this mod makes a lot of sense to have along with it... but the end game you should have a map and follow the X.. We dont have acess to map, so would be cool if there's should be a way to craft another tier of compass using I dunno maybe electrolite alloy and some jonas parts to create a compass that can guide us towards to ressonance archives.
and maybe another one that guides you towards treasure maps that you have read, that one could use some meteoric bits on recipe?

The magnetic pin is misplaced when stored on ground (works fine when placed in center position).
JapanHasRice Actually ignore my previous comment! It seems to have been an issue on my end (believing we had the setting for temporal storms interfering with compasses off and that simply not being the case) sorry for freaking you out for a minute there! You have my apologies.
