Simple mod that adds a recipe to break ore chunks using 4 loose stones in place of the hammer. The stones must be one of the types that can be knapped and are consumed in the process. 

This was made to alleviate a somewhat annoying tech progression bottleneck, in cases where you got just enough copper for a pick but not quite enough yet for a hammer as well.

Can't get this mod to work in my load order. Must be incompatible with something.

For anyone who is trying to generate a world with this mod + Manual Ore Crush and failing miserably, just turn off the break ore with rocks, generate the world, save and leave the world, then turn break ore with rocks back on, load up the world once more, and then enjoy both mods again. I have no idea why it breaks during world generation but that's going to be the workaround until a fix for either mod comes out.

...I was up until 4 am trying to figure out what was causing this crash...you're all welcome T-T

 

Grab the latest update for Manual Ore Crush, issue has been dealt with!

This mod prevents me from generating new worlds and crashes the game

Edit; It's actually the Manual Ore Crush mod, not you!

I've added a screenshot of the recipe to this page, hope that helps. Bear in mind the stones must be one of the knappable kind (if you mouse over it and it says "too soft to be used for tools", it won't work).
