R.Better Fire

A small JSON modification that makes fire and smoke particles a little more realistic

  1. -Torch (Reduced the fire particles in the hand so that the particles would not overlap the screen so much)
  2. -Bonfire (Smoke flies higher)
  3. -Open flame (the one you set on fire, for example, a tree in the forest) (Smoke flies higher, sparks now fly in different directions)

It's better to see for yourself than read the description!)

I think this mod makes it harder to see fire up close, almost as if it replaces fire particles with smoke particles

BlueSteelAU yes

Does the smoke and particles follow the wind direction and then no wind just do straight up

💬 LordOri , Mar 8th at 9:54 AM

Silhouette Sorry, but I don't know how. There are no parameters specified for particles in the bomb file, so I don't know how to apply the shader to the other smoke sources.

Would it be possible to apply the "smooth edge particles" they showcased with bombs to smoke particles?

MarximusMaximus 1.20 yes

1.20?

RuneScholar
the total number of particles is only slightly different from vanilla, so it should not affect performance at all, I changed more the behavior and not the quantity

💬 TumbleTrash, Sep 17th 2024 at 6:53 PM

Oh, cool, I was waiting for a mod like this!

💬 LarekFlynn, Sep 17th 2024 at 4:31 PM

RuneScholar Shouldn't be too much trouble since you can set the max number of particles in the game option menu.

💬 RuneScholar, Sep 17th 2024 at 4:11 PM

Is there any chance of this mod causing performance issues due to the increased smoke particles?
