Latest file for v1.16.4:
Autorotor1.1.2.zip
1-click install
Ever want the heretofore creative only auto rotor?
Well, with the makings two barrels, 40L of water, a small water wheel, and the magic of some temporal gears, you too can have a perpetual motor!
Special thanks to Racoon and Craluminum for helping me troubleshoot the recipe.
Why? Beacause in this mod we Do Not obay the second law of Thermal Dynamics!!!

Did it stop working? The mod should be fairly update-proof.
chance of an update?
A balanced crafting recipe, for vanilla. An additional recipe has also been added for using with the Electricity mod.
creativerotor.json
In order to allow for some balance to the game;
Replace the 16 planks with 16 Iron Ingots
The wooden axle thing there, with 6-12 metal-parts
The 6 Sticks with with 12 rusty gears or more.
Just thought I'd add some suggestion.
Yay! 1.1.2 did it. Works! 👍
If you are still having problems, double check that you are using the latest version of the mod. [1.1.2] I'm still new to modding and it staggers me how often I can have a mod working just fine integrated into the game's file but as soon as I package it into a mod, it stops working. As best as I can tell, the mod should be working as expected now.
@DX65 It is a motor that is normally only available in creative mode. It is primarily there to allow creators to setup/troubleshoot mechanical setups without having to wait for the wind to cooperate. This mod just allows survival mode players to make the motor for themselves to use. So it is a fully funcional motor that can run your mechanisms [quern, pounder, helvehammers].
@Chrysander My bad. I forgot that I have modded my buckets to have a stack size of 16. I dropped the number of buckets required from 5 to 4 so that it complies with the vanilla stack size of 4. As for the recipe not showing up in the handbook, are there any errors in the log files? If the recipe is being incorperated correctly by the game is should show properly.
I have hit two snags:
a) I can't stack water buckets to 5. 4 is the max. stack size for me.
b) I see the Auto rotor in the handbook, but there is no recipe given.
Using your most recent version (v1.0.1). Maybe you can put the version number in the file name? Thanks! 🙂
So is this a animated decorative block or can I use it creative to do something like the windmills? It's cool looking either way I will experiment with it.
There used to be a mod here on the DB that did exactly that. Unfortunitly it seems to have been taken down. To enable the creative teleproters in survival mode some coding needs to be done that I don't have the skills for. This was just a matter of making a recipe to allow you to get the motor. I didn't have to do any coding. :(
Personally I use DArkHekRoMaNT's Temporal Mirror mod for teleporting around. https://mods.vintagestory.at/show/mod/117 [though I massively increase the mirror durability inorder to increase their range to something more viable for my play style...]
Thx for the mod, works great!
(May you plan to create also the teleportercube (with gui?),to be able to use in survival [without the need to be in gm2 to edit it]?) Would be awesome!
