Latest release (for Vintage Story 1.20.12, 1.21.7 and 1.22.0, potentially outdated):
tzpraisethesun_v1.0.1.zip  1-click install

Makes the minimum light level required for for drifters, shivers, and bowtorn to spawn lower (from 7, down to 4), needing less light sources to deter spawning in your living areas.

Original mod that I adopted this from to support latest release candidates: https://mods.vintagestory.at/darkerdrifterspawns

Important note on files and licensing: I rewrote the mod from scratch using the content patch template from the VS wiki for replace content patch type mods, then I looked up and simply patched the values that exist in the Anego Studios entity JSON files. I did not directly copy any lines from "Darker Drifter Spawns", and thus did not copy the GNU Affero license over. That being said, I am not of the mind that a JSON file of 4-5 lines that targets and overrides a single value really counts as a "mod" for the sake of licensing it. Therefore, I have placed this project and repo in the public domain (The Unlicence), see linked repo if you need more info.

extremely small change that just removes the version requirement. only breaking change would be to json file paths or the structure of entity json files.

I dunno if this'll ever see an update, but I'd love if you could make a config for this to let us change the light level requirement on the fly, even at 4 it feels like the moment the sun starts to set the drifters come out to play, which is particularly annoying in the summer months when you still have several ingame hours of daylight.

VersatileSpice hey you probably figured this out already but this should work going forward regardless of version, unless changes are made to the project paths or the way lore enemies are targeted via JSON (which is what broke the version by Zach2039). I'm not really sure why I put a hardcoded version on it at all given that, maybe I will update the release at some point (likely full 1.22 release)

Ailith 🙇 no worries

Thanks for keeping this tweak available.

I've downloaded the mod and I'm trying to use it on 1.21.6 but the game is saying that this mod requires 1.22 even though the rec. download says 1.21.6, is it not actually intended for 1.21?
